We were in the area and looking for something new and we stumbled upon Grillshack. The ratings were high so we gave it a shot. It’s a small spot with a little seating area inside and outside. You order outside at a window and wait for your food. We ordered a couple burgers and fries with a side of Cajun wings. The burgers and fries were excellent however the wings were small fried wings with seasoning sprinkled on them. We’ll skip the wings and stick to the mains next time.

This is “THE” best burger place in Nashville. When we first moved to the city, everyone talked about the best restaurants and how there was a burger place “tucked out of the way” in our neighborhood. It didn’t take us long to find the convenient GRILL SHACK in Germantown. We were pleasantly surprised to find it was just a ten minute walk from our place and my husband Brent can reach their deck within 3 minutes on his scooter.
We love this restaurant and everyone who visits almost always asks for Grill Shack. My husband works in the apartment industry and sends everyone to Grill Shack because we can count on them to deliver consistent service and delicious food every single time.
They have the freshest and best burger prices in Nashville. And if you love fries, they have freshly cut fries that everyone raves about! A limited menu makes ordering with confidence hassle-free, but the chicken or grilled cheese are also excellent!

Grilled cheese is a 9.4. Don’t know how it could be any better. Absolutely must have. I wasn’t even going for that and I’m so glad I got it. Fries don’t look great at first but they hit, pair them with the ranch or house made spicy ketchup and they’re top tier. Burger flavor is great, tastes very fresh and almost has a backyard grill flavor to it (which is a good thing). Just try the grilled cheese tho. It’s elite.

We went here because my brother was visiting and wanted some wings! I thought I could try the veggie burger and it was great! I have a pretty severe red meat allergy and the cook and staff were very friendly about using clean equipment and watching for cross contamination. I usually feel bad for asking, but they were great about it! You order at the window and can wait inside or outside for your food. I love the little porch area and of course the food! My burger was delicious, and the fries were awesome!

Me giving this only three stars isn’t that it is bad because the food was decent. I had the chicken tender sandwich and my girlfriend had the chicken tenders and a cheeseburger. She said the cheeseburger was pretty good but I didn’t taste it. The chicken tender sandwich was decent but I guess I was expecting some type of Tennessee hot that I couldn’t get anywhere else but Tennessee. They have the bomb fries. I mean they were absolutely delicious and cut perfectly. No, I’m not from Nashville. I’m a Chicago native but this is a great choice if you visit Nashville.

The cashier was very nice, and the dining area was well-equipped, adorable, and clean. Surprisingly, the fries were the best (for that matter, the best I have had in Nashville). My partner loved the wings and I had the chicken tenders. Plenty of food, great value, wonderful customer service. A neighborhood staple.

Cheeseburger was good. Large portion of French fries which were excellent. Lettuce onions tomato and pickles were on the side. Packets of mayonnaise mustard and ketchup available. A bit expensive. Hot chicken sandwich was spicy but good. Soda overpriced. Food served in to go box. Restroom very clean. No alcohol.

Delicious!! It is a walk up order with limited menu but it’s burgers and fries…what else should there be?? Have a seat outside or inside at a small booth and wait for your delicious food to be brought out to you! No fancy plates… but exactly all you need!!!

Best hidden burger shop in Nashville. Burgers are fabulous, chicken sandwich is fantastic but those fries are to die for! You won’t be disappointed!
