The dining room is lovely, simple, beautiful décor with plenty of lighting. Drinks were fantastic: we tried the Pacha Lemonade (served in these sturdy, fun fishbowl glasses!) and the Non-Alcoholic Pacha Mojito, both delicious.
We started with appetizers:
Risotto Croquettes with Chorizo – perfectly crunchy, flavorful, with an incredible sauce.
Morcilla – excellent, just the right amount of spice.
For entrées, our table ordered:
Baby Back Ribs – fall-off-the-bone tender, with a guava BBQ sauce that was a unique and tasty touch.
Stuffed Chicken Breast – filled with mashed yuca and cheese. WOW.
Grilled Chicken Breast – pounded out to cover the whole plate, so flavorful.
Sides were equally delicious—Breadfruit Tostones and Mamposteao Rice (yellow rice with red beans) really stood out.
I ordered from the Bosu (sushi-style) menu, and it blew me away:
Esmandaito Roll – heavier but very flavorful.
Rainbow Dragon – light and fresh.
Miami Beach Roll – my absolute favorite! Spicy crab, spicy shrimp, sweet plantain, and mango salsa, an explosion of flavors.
And somehow, my husband even made room for dessert! He ordered the Dessert of the Month; a coconut cream cake served with vanilla ice cream. He said it was perfectly sweet and creamy, and he finished every bite by himself. He topped it off with a strong, bold espresso, the perfect ending to the meal.
By the time we left, the restaurant was packed, and it’s easy to see why. Between the fantastic food, creative flavors, beautiful dining room, and the outstanding staff, Grillers absolutely deserves 5 stars. We had such a wonderful family dinner, and I can’t recommend this place enough!
The environment, service and food quality was amazing!
We ordered the Parrillada for 4 and we even took food home. This spot is not cheap but I rather pay a little extra and get the quality than for saving then I wouldn’t like it at all.
I do recommend this place to eat also this place is from our Island so if you’re like us from Puerto Rico you have to pay them a visit I promise you won’t be disappointed!
Stephanie was our server and was amazing. Thanks!
I was so excited to try this restaurant after seeing so many videos about how amazing the food and vibes were. I even traveled from up north specifically to eat here — but what a disappointment.
Drinks & Service:
First red flag: All of their drinks are premixed. You cannot swap the alcohol (rum, vodka, tequila, etc.), and if it’s not on their menu, they simply don’t make it. My husband asked for a simple Grey Goose shot, and our waiter said “they don’t make that drink.” We literally had to walk over to the bar and get it ourselves.
Half of my mother’s drink accidentally spilled shortly after receiving it. We asked our waiter if he could replace or just make half to top of the glass. He said he would speak with the manager. My father offered to pay the difference if it wasn’t possible. He came back to the table to bring our appetizers but did not provide any information as to my mom’s drink. After a while he came back around to pick up the dirty appetizer plates and I asked, and instead of kindly remaking or topping it off, the waiter stated the manager refused — saying if their staff had spilled it, they would’ve replace it, but because “she spilled it”, they wouldn’t. Ridiculous, especially considering we were a large group spending well over $400.
Our waiter was polite but not attentive at all. At one point, the fire alarm went off loudly and repeatedly — right above our heads. Not a single staff member or manager addressed the situation to reassure customers. We were left sitting there confused, covering our ears, with my special needs child and my parents (who have medical conditions) thankfully managing to stay calm. I personally had to ask another waiter what was going on. He told me the fire alarm activated unintentionally, yet my family witnessed a staff member intentionally activating the alarm. Shortly after, the fire department arrived and left, but again, no communication from the restaurant. Completely unprofessional.
Food Issues:
• All of the main courses came out late and cold.
• Our mofongo (mashed plantains) was very dry and hard, even with the garlic sauce.
• My mother’s and husband’s bistec encebollado (cube steak with onions and sauce) was hard, rubbery, and drowning in oil — as was the rice with pigeon peas (arroz con gandulees).
• The kids’ cheeseburgers were unacceptable. One came out greasy, with the bun and plate soaked. The other was dry, hard, and burnt and had the shape of a meatball. Both burgers had undercooked, soggy bacon (which I never even ordered for one of my children but was charged extra for). It looked like raw bacon straight out of the package. Truly disgusting.
Customer Service:
When I brought up the issues with our food, our waiter just stared at me and said nothing. No apology, no offer to fix it. He disappeared until it was time to bring the check. Another staff member who cleared our table was at least kind enough to ask how the food was, and when we explained everything. She offered complementary desserts, but we respectfully declined. She then called over the manager. The manager apologized and offered a free drink. She stated our waiter never had that conversation with her. Again we refused, it was just far too late. I honestly felt the manager should’ve at least taken a minimum of 15 percentage off our bill. That wouldn’t have somewhat made up for the experience. It would’ve shown they cared about making things right and the value of their customers.
The Only Good Thing:
The fried food sampler appetizer and one sushi roll were the only items we enjoyed. Everything else was a complete letdown.
Final Thoughts:
This was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. Even worst because we were celebrating family and a wedding anniversary. Between the unprofessional handling of the fire alarm, the inattentive service, the refusal to make things right, and the terrible food quality, I will never return and would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.
