The server was nice. I think they were short staffed so we gave her grace. We didn’t get our appetizer so we cancelled that, as we didn’t want with our meal. We got the specials (chili cheese dogs and tots) for $6.50 each. So that was an amazing price. He wanted cheese on top of tots but that didn’t get on there so that cost was removed (in case you see on receipt). Not a huge deal, they were short staffed. Food seemed to take awhile for what it was but I go back to the short staffed comment. I think I heard there was a game down the street at a school or something. There was plenty of seats but maybe more people than they’re used to at that time of night. The hot dog itself was a great beef dog. The bun was soggy (not a surprise when covered in chili though) and the chili was okay. The tots were perfectly cooked and amazing though! So, all in all, it was worth trying because we were in the area. Sorry I forgot to take a photo of the food.

Looks like a typical country style restaurant but delivers much more! Great service, delicious food! We both tried the Cod Basket (fish and chips). Honestly, the best fish and chips I’ve ever had! We’ll definitely go back and try some other yummy looking menu items!

My boyfriend and I came to this restaurant for the first time and we loved what we ordered. I was very pleased by the service by waitress and the food was amazing. We ordered buffalo chicken fries and the southwest chicken salad. I would recommend anyone to come here to eat if you are driving through this area. It’s right at the border of Kentucky and Tennessee off of 31E.

Waited 30 minutes and didn’t even get a drink. Served people that came in well after me, before me. Had to grab my own menu and waste my time on deciding what I wanted. I bet the cat fish platter would’ve been good, but I guess I’ll never know. Server literally saw me grab my own menu off the bar and said “I would’ve brought it to you” but you didn’t, and never took my order. Honestly ridiculous. I will never be back again. Ate at the pizza place next door instead. Pretty good pizza over there at retro slice! Would give zero stars on service if possible.

Update: I came back 8/3/2022 and ordered the Philly cheese steak with fried onions & mushrooms, it was really good. I also had onion rings and they were perfect! Everything was fresh. The service was great, the wait time was as expected and not long at all. I believe the waitress was new and was very good. Grill on the Hill has totally redeemed itself! Great job everyone !!

First time here. My chopped steak plate was good. I forgot to order onions and mushrooms The waitress said she would get some and went to get some. Only thing was my plate was cold by the time I got them. The fish plate my wife ordered however was not cooked. We will come back before taking the grill off the list and update this review.

Was out for a drive in the Mustang with the top down and got hungry for lunch.
Stopped in not expecting that I would end up eating an absolutely delicious Philly Cheese Steak. Fries were perfect and the beer was cold.

Best Philly I’ve had in a long time! Fried mushrooms are great, tater tots crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Bacon cheese burger on point, chicken nachos and chicken wrap ! !!!!!! !!!!!! If your in the area like within an hour or 2 drive away stop in for great fresh food from this small hometown hole in the wall! So glad we stopped in to this diamond of a gem.
