Just ate here now in Grill City. So disappointed:
1) Pompano cost $16.50 see charred image combined with absolute dry contents inside the fish. No flavors. As it was dry, I asked for sou sauce. Got the yellow vinegary container image below. Terrible sauce. So not worth the price, and regretfully bought 3 orders if fish
2) Free Side orders mixed with non-free items created confusion (sadly employee wasn’t speaking English) so I got charged extra $2.
3) Biko Muskavado: my first taste of this item. The rice in it is grainy like brown rice flavor. It’s not sweet and you don’t taste the coconut supposedly in it. I don’t recommend it.
4) Soup below had scaly fish that overwhelmed the soup. Every sip I took I had to sift the scales outa my mouth. Note the dehydrated green beans.
5) Flies landing on food. Too many of them!!
6) I like eating at Seafood City’s that have visited. This is the worst experience for me. Management needs to check the quality of menu output, and layout/placings of products more closely

I always go here when I crave for Filipino dishes. I get their breakfast (Beef Tapasilog, Longsilog), halo-halo, and others like palabok and inasal chicken. Sometimes, I also get some of their Filipino streetfoods. Always good to be back when I get a chance.

Super convenient cafeteria-style restaurant located inside the Filipino supermarket Seafood City. I’m addition, they have a grab-and-go refrigerated section with items like jelly pandan and flan, and a “street food” cart with pre-packages foods to go, like arroz caldo and various meats and desserts in a stick.
They’ve also carved out a generous dining space, with widely spaced tables for four in front and on the side of the main buffet. Besides fountain drinks for purchase, they also provide a water cooler with cups for free water.
My first-time selection was Laing, which is taro leaves cooked in coconut milk, to which they added shrimp. I got the smallest bowl, and they included one good-sized shrimp. I also was tempted by the grilled salmon, which turned out to be rather acidic and tart – in a good way, like sinigang.
At first I thought the cost of the two dishes was rather pricey – around $20 – but realized I’d be getting three meals out of it, which makes it a good deal.
While I prefer other Filipino restaurants in the area as my go-to, if you’re already shopping in the store, it’s not a bad place to grab lunch – portions can easily be shared by two small Asians lol.

I ORDER A CHICKEN BBQ PLATE AND IT WAS ONLY ONE STICK OF BBQ CHICKEN THATS SMALL THERE MORE RICE THEN CHICKEN I paid 12.50$ what a big waste, and I got there squid sample on the side it was so nasty plz don’t come over here there food is expensive and disgusting and it cost about 23$ L&L is cheaper and they served more portion of food and there food taste uno it’s better than Grill City.
There portion of the food plates are small and expensive and food not that good it’s nasty.
They don’t even clean around the place the floor look dirty there was flys running around the food while there serving to customers health violation code right here . PLEASE DONT COME OVER HERE

My wife and I went to Grill City in Waipahu Seafood City. Always like eating up there, but today was the worst day ever. After I got my food; bopis, lechon, fish sisig, and BBQ Chicken. We placed it in the table and I went and got some water. It was empty, but the lady refill the orange water cooler. I went ahead and fill up my cut, but I noticed there was several things floating. I noticed it was a small roach. I dump the water and told the attendant. Instead of cleaning the container, she dump the drip pan with roach. I was disgusted and went back to my table to eat my food. After several minutes, my wife and I finished eating, but my wife last scoop of bopis noticed something unusual. I was hoping it’s safron but instead, it’s a dead roach with head and a few hairy legs. My wife and I are very disgusted. I once again, told the attendant and hoping she would do something. Please, check your food. Most of the time roaches carries diseases and could potentially harm some. I would never eat here again and hope to get my refund.

The indoor seating area provides a comfortable space to relax, especially when you’re feeling tired. Additionally, they offer a variety of Filipino street food options that are simply irresistible. Whenever I need to buy food for our work potlucks, Grill City is my top choice. My co-workers adore the chicken and pork BBQ, my mom can’t get enough of the squid, and my dad’s favorite is the laing. What adds to the wonderful experience is the friendly and welcoming staff at Grill City, making every visit a delight.

The chicken inasal is super dry and it’s not a whole chicken thigh but a drumstick. The pork liempo is not a whole slab served to you and is also very dry. Better getting food from other filipino restaurant nearby.

If you want a cheap Filipino breakfast, then my man this is the place for you! That traditional fried rice, meat and eggs in the morning will do the trick. Now anything after noon, good luck. Except for bbq, they’re always grilling that.
