I was staying at the hotel and decided to try the restaurant. It was really, really good! I had the walleye with sauteed spinach and seasonal vegetables. I started with the fall salad with vinaigrette dressing. I had a popover with a honey butter sauce that was so delicious. The service was great. He offered really great suggestions. The manager came by and checked on me. Everything was perfect!

10 Star Review! We hosted a private dinner for 11 people at The Grill at Knob Hill. Will, the manager was so great to work with. Will, and the chef curated a beautiful Autumn Idaho Dinner. Our guests were from Boston and New Hampshire so we wanted to present the best from Idaho. We started with a Fall Moscow Mule for cocktail, then a beautiful nut, dried fruit, cheese, honey, roasted garlic baguette plates for each guest, then a savory butternut squash soup with basil olive oil drizzle, the Autumn salad with shaved cheese, nut, pomegranate was awesome, the main entree was Idaho trout with an herb butter and wagu steak, rice pilaf, the famous popovers, and finished with Fall home made stone fruit cobbler. The wine choices by Will were awesome. Autumn in Sun Valley – Ketchum, the beautiful golden aspen trees, and a fantastic dinner and amazing staff at the Grill at Knob Hill was the perfect evening.

We held our wedding reception at the Grill at Knob Hill on 10/13/24. Bob and the team were awesome to work with! The food was amazing from appetizers during our cocktail hour to the main dinner during our seated reception. The space transformed beautifully and Bob and his team helped make our wedding vision come true – we could not have had a better evening!

Menu included all of our parents’ & any foodie’s classic favorites, like escargot, lamb lollipops, filet mignon & prime rib, rack of lamb, proper Wienerschnitzel with the perfect balance of sweet (lingonberries) to savory (spaetzle), mud pie…
Oh & piping hot, crusty, buttery pillow-soft popovers, our first!!! So addictive.
Service was warm & friendly.
But we should’ve asked for steak knives for our roast chicken & schnitzel, & mud pie…

We sat in the garden outside. It was unbelievably lovely… I felt like I was at a garden party in England. The tables sit on a soft, green lawn, beautiful flowers and shrubs all around the perimeterof the lawn. At night it gets dark and all you have is moonlight, candle lit tables and some string lights. I was perfectly delighted by the ambiance.
I had the shrimp for an appetizer and the Idaho Trout. Shrimp came out in the shell and was a bit of a pain to peel, but the trout was perfect. It was a huge portion (but I couldn’t… I ate the whole thing).

Appetizer: calamari – was shaped like French fries which reduced all the chewiness – amazing – hint of spice
Dinner: (special) scallops with avocado, wild rice and jalapeño butter – 2nd dinner pretzel encrusted walleye – both were amazing – scallop dish had a lot more lemon/acid and the walleye dish was a lot more subtle

Our experience here was truly exceptional. The food was absolutely delicious, prepared with obvious skill and passion. The service was top-notch—attentive and friendly . What really stood out, though, was the owner, Bob. His commitment to his guests is incredible; he went out of his way to make sure we had an unforgettable time. It’s clear he puts his heart and soul into this place.

Excellent service and unbelievable filet mignon! We sat in the bar area during the dinner rush to be in a quieter place and loved that we still got a private table. The food came out super quick and was delicious! And the popovers with honey butter is such a nice treat to accompany the meal.
Will be back when we’re in sun valley.

We come to Sun Valley from Salt Lake City 3 or 4 times a year and this is the best meal we’ve had in this town. My wife and I had heard from some folks the trout was fantastic so we both ordered it and it was awesome! Met the owner who was most gracious and friendly and relayed the same message to him. Beautiful grounds and expert service! Unfortunately we probably won’t be back in town for another couple months but we will most definitely be back.

We attended a beautiful outdoor reception at Nob Hill recently. The setting service and food or off the charts. overall I would have to say it was one of the more beautiful wedding receptions that we have attended.
