We frequent the clubhouse often, but this past weekend something was off. The bartenders didn’t want to be there, the event manager looked busy but never did anything helpful, and they flat out ignored guests.
I guess there was a private event going on at the same time. There was zero organization. Only 2 girls were assigned to the party so no one else would help make drinks because and I quote “we aren’t getting any of that gratuity” so I guess you ignore guests? Deplorable.
Figure out how to do parties and service at the same time or don’t book events. It was chaotic and embarrassing.

Came here to watch a neighbor (Ben Lyons, he is great, check him out). Had a few drinks and an early dinner. Our server, Emily, was fantastic. She was very attentive without being obtrusive, just a delight. I had the caprese sandwich with fries. My husband had the fish tacos. Both were very good and the fries were outstanding. We’ll definitely return.

Took about a hr to get our food.
The scallop Risotto tasted like plain oatmeal. I’m pretty sure the cook forgot the sauce/parm. Wait staff was nice though. Worst meal I think I may have ever had at a restaurant.

Our first time. We were there on a Saturday at 2 pm. When we entered there were 3 people at bar. No tables occupied. Sat at a table. Waitress came quickly with a menu. Unfortunately it was just a dinner menu vs all day and no drink menu. Once mentioned she quickly brought over additional menus. I chose the tacos and husband NY strip medium. Ordered promptly then the wait began. We finally got served at 2.50. I did see the ? Chef a couple times? appears we woke him from a nap.We were the only customers. Waitress never came over to talk or explain the delay. Although maybe they think this is normal… My tacos were very good. The NY strip was overcooked. The Waitress yelled from the bar to ask about the food. Never approached our table other than to place order. Food ok if you want to twiddle your thumbs… service should be better.

Service is extremely slow. Took 30 mins before anyone came to take our drink order. Another 30 mins to take our food order. Completely understand places being short staffed but this was over the top. We did have a reservation too. When our food finally did come we were missing one meal. Thought they had gone to get it but 10 mins later no one had returned so had to flag the server down to let her know it was missing. The food was delicious so it’s disappointing that we won’t return due to the horrible service. Lots of reservations came in as we sat there so not sure why they would keep taking them when they obviously can’t handle the volume.

Totally brand new digs. Not just for golfers anymore, either. Excellent menu and delicious food (thank you Chef). And they have made it so fun to hang out. When in Maine, we go as often as we can. They now have Taco Tuesdays, Trivia Night Thursdays, and 2 live music days: Fri nites & Sun afternoons. Look for us one of those days kicked back in one of the brand new rocking chairs that overlook the beautiful practice putting green. Cocktail in hand of course.

First time diners and was not overly impressed, just OK. Service was particularly slow for a Thursday lunch and it appeared that there may have been just one server. We did not order alcoholic beverages nor desserts and we were there for two hours. Prices were reasonable and portions were adequate. There are just too many other dining options in Southern Maine that offer a more memorable food experience than Grill 65. One and done for me.

The ketchup bottles and I tried 2 were so nasty inside that ketchup would not come out. Just disgusting. I ate but without ketchup. I sincerely hope management reads this and corrects the problem.

Been there a few times, the food is horrible (where is the Executive Chef)?? Tried taco Tuesday twice and both times it was so bad we couldn’t eat them. Ordered a 2nd dinner because they were so bad, which took a long time to get! There is no adult staff, service is slow (kitchen) plenty of servers but not enough leadership. We won’t try again it was that bad. Before the remodel the food was reasonable not anymore!
