I researched before traveling to Honesdale, PA where I wanted to eat. I was looking for atmosphere, good food and good prices. Out of the many places i looked at, I chose Gretchen’s Gratto. We walked in and were pleased by the pleasant atmosphere and I liked they have tablecloths. I like tablecloths. Tables without cloths feels cafeteria style. Anyway, I was soo pleased to see they had Stuffed Peppers on Linguini for 10.95. I was served a huge stuffed pepper and plenty of fettuccine so that I should not have eaten it all at one sitting, but I did. It was very tasty!The waitress turned it into a dinner for me so I had a salad and bread to go with it for a wee more. My husband had chicken that he was very pleased with as well. This restaurant had good food, good prices, atmosphere and friendly servers…all the things that make it a place worth going back to, and I will if I ever go through Honesdale again!

One of the best places to eat. A cozy, homey atmosphere with fantastic service. Everyone was amazing. The Chesapeake Shrimp was done to perfection. The food was so good it made my eyes roll back. The flavors were heavenly and on point. I will be coming back!

This restaurant has a great next door feel as you walk in. The food was very good, we had the BBQ platter, as it was the special of the day. The ribs might of been on the dry side but the flavor was very good, the chicken was nice and juicy, the sides where coleslaw and baked beans, both were excellent. The cornbread had good flavor but was a little on the dry side for my personal preference. We also enjoyed a cup of the seafood chowder and it was very good, could be a little thicker but the seafood pieces were nicely diced up with some larger shrimp pieces, it was very good. The waitress was absolutely amazing, super friendly, was right on top of getting items and checked with us a few times to make sure everything was going ok. I would give the food a 4 but the waitress made our experience very enjoyable so that’s why I gave it 5 .

Pass this place all the time, was always skeptical finally tried a large cheese pizza from here tonight because we’ve been looking for good pizza for over a year and a half now since I moved here to Pennsylvania. Well this place was slammed busy and they still made us an awesome pizza!!! Very good fresh, and polite service. The reviews were right, it’s the best pizza in the area and we will definitely order from here again!

A small restaurant just off State Route 6 West, when leaving Honesdale.
A family restaurant with a good overall atmosphere.
Last time frequented, we had a specialty Pizza. No complaints with food quality on any visits to this establishment.
Staff was friendly. There was an extended wait on receiving food, but overall no major issues.
Worth a stop if in the area.
