The pizzas used to be good. They have decreased the size of the boxes and pizzas several times in the last few years while raising prices. A large pizza is now smaller than a small pizza used to be. Way overpriced at $25!
The pizza we got this week was the worst yet. The crust was 2 mm thick throughout most of the pizza. This is beyond thin crust. The quality of toppings has also decreased. The pizza has also been getting greasier if it’s not burnt to a crisp.
We have decided that we much prefer the chain pizzas or even frozen pizzas to Greg’s.

Hole in the wall pizza takeout. Being new(er) to the area, I knew I wanted to try Greg’s Pizza, several friends and acquaintances from this area recommended it and I loved it! We ordered two large, one with pepperoni and olives, one with just hamburger (thanks to a tip from a local). I just adored the hamburger! The pepperoni and olives was good too, but hamburger will be my go to now! Nice staff too!

This is the second time unfortunately that we’ve got a pizza to doesn’t look or taste great from this location. I didn’t ask for a refund or to be replaced as I live 35 minutes away and wasn’t going to drive back for it to be remade considering I had already worked a 12 day. Not sure what has changed but something has in fact .
I’ve included some pictures of how burnt the bottom of the pizza was and the top.
I’m 45 and have always ranted to everyone about how great Greg’s Pizza was in the past . Not sure that I will return again as my mother always said fool me once shame on you , fool me twice shame on me !

Went to pick up order which I was told would be 1 hour, people waiting in all chairs. Witnessed people becoming very aggravated some asking for refund. I asked when my order would be ready after waiting 40 minutes was told your not on screen, what does that mean, was told that your pizzas are not being made till they come up .So being extremely frustrated I asked when can I expect them to be ready. The kind lady looks like running the show and making pizza told me about another hour. I was about to ask for refund to but my sweet daughter told me to go home and finish my salad bar and she would pickup pizzas and I will say they were a big hit as always on our Christmas eve tradition but have never experienced this before.

I have loved Greg’s Pizza for more than 50 years! The quality isn’t the same but now living in SC I still enjoy one occasionally. However my daughter witnessed something Tuesday night that makes me rethink my commitment to Greg’s…
I’m all for supporting local businesses. Tonight I was at Greg’s pizza picking up the take and bake pizzas to take to South Carolina. One young man made a mistake. The owner went off. He was very ugly to the young man and then yelled at his wife. We buy pizza there a lot. I may rethink that. BTW…the young man took off his apron and walked out after that spectacle.

I was told this place was one of the best pizza joints around. You go in and order, they have some seats if you want to wait for your pizza, but they don’t have places to sit and eat. We got pepperoni and they slice them differently and put the toppings on the bottom…. like Papa Johns Pizza. Pepperoni should be nice and crispy, not under the sauce soft.
I didn’t think the pizza was all that amazing. My boyfriend likes him I think he likes him because his parents had their first date here way back in the day.

Tried Greg’s Pizza and learned the hard way that the Volcano Pizza lives up to its name. Super hot, so handle with care! After ordering and paying, we were told it’d be a 30-minute wait, which turned into over 50 minutes in the lobby for one pizza.
One woman behind the counter seemed irritated and wasn’t wearing a hat or hairnet, which wasn’t great since her hair was hanging over the toppings. Another guy grabbed a bin of garlic sauces out of the fridge when we got there, and then left it sitting out the entire rest of the time.
Pizza was okay, but the experience was disappointing.

Now i spent 12 years in Chicago so ….. well lets say ive yet to have a pie as good as the top pie’s in the Windy City. Gregs is my go to pizza joint in Johnson city. The Ingredients, sauce and Cheese are all premium. That does mean a premium price however, and not a lot of selections for house made pizza combos. I have as of yet to try any of the sandwiches and the deserts are a rip off. Cystomer service is okay not great but definitely not poor.

Used to be a great pizza – the ham and cheese pie was the best – our family had several pizzas over the weekend for dinner and Christmas gathering and we were all disappointed. Very expensive – skimpy toppings – just not the classic Greg’s used to be.

I am just appalled by the behavior of the cooks here. The night crew absolutely does not care whatsoever about quality or customer service. My wife picked up a pizza tonight and all the workers were using foul language towards each other. While she waited customers were calling into complain and getting up and walking out due to excessive wait times. I really like this place but anything ordered after 5 pm you’re taking a chance. The night crew is really making this place go down hill.
