Absolutely amazing experience from start to finish. The hospitality here was top-tier. We were served by the owner, David Engel, who was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and clearly passionate about both the food and the people he serves. That personal touch made the experience even better.
The food was incredible. I paired the Tomato & Gouda Bisque with a grilled cheese, and it was hands down the best soup and grilled cheese combo I’ve ever had. Perfectly rich, comforting, and full of flavor. I also had the Chipotle Pollo wrap, and it was easily the best wrap I’ve ever eaten. Fresh ingredients, great balance, and clearly made with care.
To top it all off, they had big cookies baked fresh that gave the perfect delight to end the meal. You can tell real pride is taken in both the food and the customer experience. Great portions, great prices, and an atmosphere that makes you want to come back. I’ll definitely be returning and recommending this place to everyone I know.

I’ve always loved the place food portions are always spot on. The person behind the counter was very friendly and professional. The restaurant has made great improvements to the layout since I was last there. Will definitely return. Not to mention they offer a lot of gluten free options which is truly a delight to those with celiac disease.

My husband and I travel to DC frequently and Harrisonburg is midway between where we live to DC. EVERYTIME we make it a point to stop at this cafe. They have hands down the best coffee in there! Not sure wssup but I think it’s the quality of the milk possibly? I just know this is our designated stop which is prolly evident from the amount of photos anf it’s honestly the same stuff we order everytime- hazelnut latte vs lavender latte and the quinoa bowls all of which are delicious.
