Tried both the pulled pork and the brisket. Both are fabulous!!
Had the black beans, grilled vegetables, and a salad as well.
The homemade spicy barbecue sauce is wonderful
And truly enjoyed the homemade blue cheese dressing
This place is out of the way for many.
But if you have an afternoon to take a nice drive and enjoy some fabulous food and a very friendly atmosphere; this would be my suggestion

Super place! Incredibly nice owner/chef and staff, sensitive to allergies and puts his own personal touches on each item. Delicious fresh food—try the fried jalapeño cheese!! And the veggie bowl. And best priced I’ve had in CA. Also cool screen print shirts for sale!

Swung by while driving to the reserve and it was quite busy, but the front of house staff provided impeccable, friendly, warm service. Authentic small town feel. The back of house staff whipped up a real mean smashburger and mac and cheese. From reading the other reviews, I was a bit worried it might be overhyped but I would def make the drive to eat here again and try all their other dishes.

Went to GVSH (Green Valley Smokehouse) tonight… food was amazing! Started off with the corn-queso appetizer, delicious! Tri-Tip was cooked and seasoned to perfection… the Mac-n-cheese and grilled veggies were some of the best we’ve had. service was excellent as well… love the vibe and atmosphere here at GVSH. we will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu!

This place is amazing! I ordered the tri-tip bowl to go & inhaled it! It was made fast & the staff was extremely helpful/nice. The bowl was absolutely delicious. The atmosphere of the restaurant was clean & welcoming. Next time I’ll definitely be dinning in. Highly recommend eating here! I will be back with the family for sure! took the drive out there on a Sat night . it was my brother’s 46th birthday and they had all the right food on the menu and super friendly cook and waiter . lots of good drinks . the bill was really exciting to see for 5 people celebrating . thanks Guys good luck to you smoke house .
