This Japanese restaurant is an interesting and memorable place. The staff is very attentive and friendly. The waiter was responsive and asked about any allergies.
I can’t say the Yakisoba surprised me—it’s just regular fried noodles. The paprika made it a bit spicy, but I don’t know how it differs from other noodles. The miso soup was good.
It was also my birthday on the day of my visit, and the staff treated me to a delicious layered cake with strawberry cream. I didn’t ask for this cake, and it wasn’t included in the bill. I’m very grateful for this gesture. I’m sure I’ll be back for this cake someday! The cake is 10/10.
I’m not sure the atmosphere is Japanese, but the design, based on Japanese paintings, is excellent.

The miso soup is always inconsistent one day they give me a full cup and the next day they give me half a cup full. They also have the audacity to charge $5 for spicy water, $3 for rice and they don’t even full up the whole cup. Disappointing!

The place looked really promising. We were also drawn but the byob set up. If I’m being honest right from the moment we sat down it was disappointing. Both our menus were filthy. We asked for no avocado on top of a roll but they said that was a tough ask and didn’t honor it. The sushi was ok, some of the rolls had too much going on that the taste got lost.
Lastly, we were celebrating a birthday and although we did get a dessert; they did not care about clearing out our dinner plates first. It felt like the wanted us out. Very disappointing experience.

Green tea is very unassuming and I will say that it was very different in a good way. The service was great. Our waitress checked in often with me. And the food was very good. I have to say one of the best quality from what I have been able to try over the years. The atmosphere or ambiance was out of this world. If only other places had the kind of style that green tea had! I will say that the fried tempura was the best from all other Japanese restaurants I have been to. Give green tea a try, you don’t regret it!

Sushi is good for the most part, I’ve been in there once in the rice was not cooked correctly. My biggest fault with this restaurant, I live across the street I called to make a takeout order I was put on hold long enough that I walked over there to find two servers sitting there talking with one of the chefs right next to the phone while I was still on hold and in empty restaurant. I Love sushi and I love convenience so this place was supposed to be my go-to spot, and it just makes it difficult with things like this to commit to that.

While our food was delicious and very fresh, we struggled with the quality of service. It took about 20 minutes for someone to come up and greet our table after being seated on the patio. I think there was only one or two servers working, which I can acknowledge is challenging on a busy night! Would love to come back when service issues are straightened out!

I had a lunch here
The sushi is super good and well done…
They have a lot of different choices is interesting also some authentic Japanese food
Service is very good and the location is new and very nice.
I’ll give them 4 instead of 5 because is probably too expensive… little bit …
And also because from The menu I didn’t understand that my plate was like this … fried vegetables… I wondered was fried rice with shrimp and vegetables … otherwise I would not got that .

We went for restaurant week but some of our group ordered off the main menu as well. Great selection and value on both options. Fish and sushi were very fresh and the noodle dishes were similarly excellent. Thai iced coffee was delicious and a nice sweet addition to dinner. Definitely recommend!

Awesome little cozy place ! I ordered the Salmon Don and it was super delicious I just wished their scallop sashimi was a bit fresher … but overall, a nice place to eat at if you’re hungry for raw fish

We’ve been to this place several times when they were at their old location, and the food is just as incredible as ever. Now, with more space and a fancier atmosphere, it’s an even better experience. The staff is super friendly, and in my opinion, it’s hands down the best sushi spot in Chicago!
