Green Sage Cafe quickly became our go-to spot during our trip to Asheville—so much so that my friends and I went every single day for five days straight. From the very first visit, we were hooked. The iced latte is hands down one of the best I’ve ever had—smooth, perfectly balanced, and consistently delicious. And don’t even get me started on the breakfast burritos… they’re absolutely loaded, full of flavor, and somehow even better each morning.

What really stood out beyond the food and drinks was the atmosphere. The vibe inside is calm, welcoming, and full of good energy. Whether we were just grabbing a quick bite or taking our time to relax and plan the day, it felt like the perfect place to reset. There’s a focus on wholesome, nourishing food that doesn’t sacrifice taste at all, and the menu has something for everyone.

The staff deserves a big shout-out too—every single person we interacted with was friendly, upbeat, and genuinely kind. It didn’t matter how busy the place got, they always had a smile and treated us like regulars. That kind of hospitality goes a long way, especially when you’re traveling.

By the end of the trip, it didn’t even feel like a question—“Where are we going for breakfast?” The answer was always Green Sage. If you’re visiting Asheville and want quality coffee, amazing food, and great people, this is the spot. Highly, highly recommend.

Great spot for breakfast or lunch! We ordered a cold brew, iced latte, and a cortado — all three were excellent. The coffee was smooth and flavorful, exactly what we needed.

We each got a breakfast burrito, and they were fantastic — hearty, fresh, and super satisfying. Service was quick, and everything came out hot and fast. We didn’t stay long, just grabbed our food and drinks, but it hit the spot.

Definitely a go-to if you want quality coffee and a solid bite without the wait.

We stopped in as we were visiting from out of town. Wonderful options. I had an extra golden turmeric latte, and breakfast. A very nice treat.

We had the Havana Bowl and it was the best vegan meal we had on our trip from kansas to north Carolina. Highly recommend. And, downtown Asheville is amazing.

Delicious brunch. Quick and easy ordering at the counter. Pura Vida bowl was wholesome and delicious. Cold juice bar is available. Both Sunrise and Beet juices were delicious. To our pleasant surprise it was quiet on a Sunday early after afternoon, which exactly what we wanted. Service was prompt and pleasant. We enjoyed our experience very much!

Adorable atmosphere! I ducked in because of the windy frigid atmosphere outside! As I was waiting for a bus, I ordered and found a delightful young lady on the other side of the counter…

Service was spectacular! Coffee magnificent! My 20 minutes spent there was well worth it!

As I was leaving, I asked the adorable young hostess, her name…

She shared with me her name is Nadia! I shared with her my last adopted daughter, her name was Nadja also!

Stopped in for a healthy breakfast. My Luna bowl was large and healthy. The sauce/seasoning could have been more well-rounded, and a few more steamed veggies. Lots of seating inside and a few outside. You order at the counter, and they bring out your order. Coffee is locally sourced and good.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Green Sage Café in downtown Asheville is such a gem. Every time we visit, we’re blown away by how consistently fresh and delicious everything is. On this trip we tried it all: bowls, fresh-pressed juices, elderberry shots, wraps, and protein smoothies… honestly we could have gotten more LOL and everything exceeded our expectations.

The flavors are delicious and the ingredients taste so clean… and you can tell there’s real care put into every dish and drink.

The staff is equally wonderful. Everyone we encountered was welcoming, kind, and helpful, which always makes the experience that much better.

It’s the kind of place that makes you feel good not only because of the food but also because of the energy.

We honestly wish we had a Green Sage Café back home in Myrtle Beach it would instantly be our everyday go-to spot. But Until then, we will be counting down to our next Asheville trip to come back.

If you’re in town and looking for fresh healthy food that’s wholesome, flavorful and consistently excellent, this is the place to go.

Thanks Green Sage. We love you

Great cafe with awesome coffee and breakfast. It’s amazing what big corporate coffee shops pass for coffee these days. Green Sage pour over is delicious.
