What an experience! First time visiting Jacksonville and wanted sushi. Expected the ‘normal’ sushi bar aura….
Wow- from the interior design to the excellent service we were impressed before our orders arrived.
Asking about gluten free options, everything was labeled on the menu. Gluten free soy sauce is available.
While disappointed that there were no GF rice options, I was satisfied that the waitress was honest!!
When our entrees arrived we didn’t know what was happening! All I can say is it needs to be experienced, from the beautifully decorated dishes and dry ice presentation the food was outstanding!!
Try it yourself to believe it!!
100/10 can’t wait to come back when visiting family in the area!!

When we arrived at Green Papaya, the restaurant was packed and full of energy. The bar area though was surprisingly empty a quiet little spot that gave us a chance to take in the atmosphere before sitting down. The building itself is absolutely beautiful with a modern open layout. My favorite detail was the lighting ♀️ huge glass orbs hanging from the ceiling that give off a warm ✨inviting glow. It really sets the mood and makes the whole place feel special. We started with a few appetizers and every single one was spot on. The wontons were crispy and flavorful, perfectly golden without being greasy. The spring rolls were light fresh and full of clean vibrant flavors. The yellowtail was buttery and delicate melting in your mouth beautifully presented and so fresh it practically sparkled. The lamb appetizer was also incredible juicy tender and seasoned perfectly. Everything came out looking gorgeous and tasted even better.
Then came dessert and that’s where Green Papaya truly shines. The mango sticky rice was absolutely delicious warm slightly sweet rice paired with cool fresh mango slices and a touch of creamy coconut sauce. And the fried ice cream was the perfect finale crispy on the outside creamy and cold inside just heavenly. The service was friendly and attentive even with how busy it was and the prices were surprisingly reasonable for the quality and presentation. Overall Green Papaya completely exceeded expectations. From the food to the atmosphere everything felt thoughtfully done. Highly recommend trying the yellowtail/ wontons the lamb appetizer and definitely both desserts they’re out of this world. I’ll absolutely be back.

I loved this place. The sashimi presentation was amazing, My Thai fresh garlic dish was very well seasoned and cooked perfectly. And the roll had seared salmon on top which tasted so good. Our server was so kind and attentive as well. Inside of the restaurant is beautiful too!!

Sophisticated yet casual, attentive yet not overbearing, food presentation exceptional and flavorful. We had a variety of young people tending to us and each as pleasant as the one before them. Chefs are wonderful and artistic.

Some of the best food I’ve ever had!! Mad it took us this long to go. Super fast service even though they were super busy. Very very friendly staff and they have a robot waiter!!! Can’t wait until next time, they have so many things to chose from, it’ll take numerous visits to try everything I want to try!!!

We have eaten here before in the restaurant and the food was good quality and taste however we ordered a to go order today and there were two pieces of black hair inside of my House fried rice.My husband ordered the spring rolls and no meat was put inside of them. I was so disgusted that I could not finish my food!! I will never eat her again and I’m so sad because we loved this place.

This was the first restaurant we ate at after moving to Florida and we have been back a number of times since. I have since had Tom Kha soup at several Thai restaurants and the version they make here is the best – try it – and you can get it as hot or as mild as you want. The food is generally very good; sometimes the chicken satay is a little overcooked but we usually stick to Sushi and appetizers. What other restaurants could learn from this chain is how to present food and especially drinks. The cocktails are unique, very well made and beautifully presented.

We’re from CT, but this is some of the best Thai I’ve had and definitely the best restaurant I’ve visited in Jacksonville so far! The dining room was beautiful, and the servers were so friendly and attentive! All of the food arrived to the table quickly and every dish was fresh and delicious! We will absolutely be coming back on future trips to the area.

The food is fantastic and their lunch specials are a great bargain. Their portions are perfect. The 5-spice green beams are phenomenal! Everything we’ve had here has been perfection in presentation and flavor. Fresh ingredients, friendly and efficient staff, and that delivery robot that they occasionally use – altogether makes for a great experience. The atmosphere and decor are an added value to the experience.
