It is in the heart of William & Mary University. There is an expected college crowd. So much so there is a large police presence as well. Because of this or because of decency there is a loud environment but no problems. I am 6’4″ and have been tried more than enough in my past but I like peace and a late night drink with some food, which was the case that night. Except the damn plastic cups, the Guinness was poured properly and cocktails were well done. The bar fare was quite good and in large portions. Good nachos but more of a taco salad with chili. Chili cheese fries were also good. The fries were even crisp and not soggy, no complaints on either of those. I did get their steak and cheese sub to go. It was a nice version of the classic we all love but it lacked meat and was just not good. It’s not cheap but this is to be expected. My girl and I had a few drinks and some late night appetizers that came to $100. We had decent drinks, top shelf liquor etc so this is normal.
On a final note anyone of the college age with any interest in the lovely ladies should visit. There were so many beautiful women in groups without male or female companions. Just ladies out for drinks. I would say that night there were two to one ladies. Get off the phone and meet people!!! Cool place for a college environment. Decent food and location. It is a good time in a historic environment. Loud but it’s college, give them a break.

Anywho had the opportunity go eat there tonight. The restaurants down in CW were packed with 2 hour long wait times since it was Grand Illumination night. Makes sense.
Glad we came here. Food hit the spot (steak flatbread, burger, godfather cheesesteak, prime rib melt, mozzarella sticks) and was righteously devoured.
But the HIGHLIGHT was the service. Rockin’ holiday sweaters, Allie, Kaitlin, and Conner killed it. From a warm welcome, to attentive service, capped off with an entertaining improv show at the end. No really – we were in stitches. This is going on my “must come back” list.

amazing service, amazing food, and faster than anyplace I’ve ever been to including some fast food! not exaggerating one bit, from ordering to kitchen to table was around 5 minutes, so far the staff has made it feel homier than our home state and we love it
(hard to answer how much we spent because things are relatively inexpensive but the staff is so friendly we didn’t want to leave so may have spent more than some lol)

Came up to Williamsburg from Norfolk for the weekend and we liked it so much we went back both nights. Jimmy and Connor were excellent bartenders with amazing personalities even in the midst of a busy Saturday night! Will definitely be returning next time we visit! Decent beer selection and great drinks as well

This was a comical experience. We stopped here after driving for hours and before we checked in to our hotel, which was nearby. We chose this place because of the fish and chips and shepherds pie on the online menu. DO NOT TRUST THE ONLINE MENU! They don’t have any of that! They seriously need to update it. Everything we asked if they had it was, “We don’t have that,” or, “Let me see if we have that.” I did end up with the fish and chips, my husband had the fish sandwich. The food, ultimately, was really good once we figured out what they had. Unfortunately, we forgot to get pictures, but the fish fillet was really big. I wasn’t a fan of the coleslaw.
