My wife and I stopped in for dinner after a show at the Hanover. It was about 5pm and not too busy. The server was very nice and attentive. We ordered 1/2 dozen of raw oysters, two with caviar. They were excellent, fresh and plump.
For main course, I ordered Flounder with seafood stuffing over potatoes and my wife ordered short ribs. She loved the short ribs stating they were tender and she enjoyed them. My flounder was ok, the fish itself was fine and the stuffing was a tad dry but the potatoes were literally undercooked. I am not the type to return a dish for something like that. We will definitely give it another try.

I had one of the most delicious meals I’ve had in weeks here. The ingredients tasted so fresh, so nuanced, just perfect. The service was excellent too. Also great cocktails! No complaints at all, went beyond my expectations, I will definitely come back next time I’m in Worcester!

We saw on the website that they had dollar oysters from 12 to 3 on Sundays so we decided to go then. This place has its own parking lot so there were no issues parking. We got there around 1 and it was pretty empty. We were at sat immediately in a nice large booth. We had our baby carrier with us and we rarely find places it fits well in and this booth had ample space so that was very nice. Our waiter was Gregori and he was great. Very attentive and knowledgeable. We started with the dollar oysters, which were only one kind of oyster. These were very good and we each had 5. I love clam chowder so we ordered a bowl. It came with croutons instead of oyster crackers and that gave it a nice crunch. The chowder itself had clams in it but tasted more like a cream of potato soup so I probably wouldn’t order that again. For our main course, we ordered the fried shrimp bowl and stuffed flounder. These meals were so good! I would order them again no question. The shrimp were crispy and spicey. The flounder was so flaky and the stuffing was delicious. We also ordered a couple beers and they had a good variety. We definitely will be coming back again.

Great food, amazing mojitos, and awesome service! We’ve been to Green Island a handful of times and have zero complaints. The dollar oyster happy hour is something we’ve been missing in Worcester. Bradley is an awesome server, so kind and attentive. Definitely recommend!

300/10 – I had a spiritual experience at Green Island Oyster in Worcester. Our bartender Hannah was phenomenal in service and knowledge of allergies. I took her advice and got a gluten free fried haddock sandwich that blew my mind. All of their batter is gluten free and so are their fryers. Ghostfish beer, downeast on tap, 35 wines, and some of the most creative cocktails I’ve seen in Worcester ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

My girlfriend Yvonne and I Visited this restaurant for the first time this past Friday, following a recommendation from her boss. We have dined at nearly every restaurant in Worcester, and I was astonished to discover this new establishment, previously known as the District Wood Fired Kitchen Restaurant which we had also dined at before. Upon our arrival, we entered without a reservation and were promptly seated. Our server, Bradley, was exceptional and informed us of the day’s specials, all of which I selected based on his suggestions, and he was absolutely correct. We started with the ricotta meatballs and a dozen oysters as appetizers; the meatballs were as remarkable as those from any top Italian restaurant, and the oysters, which I adore, surpassed any I have tasted, even from some of the seafood restaurants in Cape Cod. For our main courses, Yvonne ordered the roasted haddock, while I chose the yellowtail snapper based on Bradley’s recommendations, which was more flavorful than any dish from seaside restaurants. The drinks were fantastic and tailored to our preferences, and to conclude our meal, we enjoyed the apple crumble for dessert, which did not disappoint. We had a wonderful evening; the staff was outstanding and very welcoming, and Bradley made us feel right at home with his attentiveness. As previously mentioned, we visited based on Yvonne’s boss’s recommendation, and I eagerly anticipate bringing my children, who are fond of oysters, as soon as possible. I highly recommend this restaurant to all seafood enthusiasts and anyone who enjoys oysters, which are priced at $1.00 each every day. The oyster bar, located immediately upon entry, is impressive and will surely entice you to return, as I know I will strive to become their most frequent customer this year. Thank you to the Green Island Oyster team for providing excellent service and for making our Friday night enjoyable and memorable, especially thanks to Bradley. We look forward to seeing you again soon. Roberto and Yvonne.

We had the extreme pleasure of Iggy as our server tonight during our last minute dinner. My husband and I enjoyed everything from beginning to end. He tried all that oysters they were great, especially the dressed oysters were to die for. I got the lobster mini trio and boy oh boy was I happy with those lovely little lobster bundles of joy. His fisherman’s platter was a yummy plate full of food. I can’t forget my Mango Mojito was perfect! Really thankful we were able to get in and get a table even though they were very busy fully booked tonight Iggy took great care of us and ensure that we understood every aspect of the menu and even gave some great suggestions. We can’t wait to come back soon.

Excellent food!! Very knowledgeable staff. Very clean establishment. The oyster bar is very nice. You can actually watch them shuck oysters. The day we went they had 3 different types of oysters you could choose from. They were fantastic!!! We had a dozen oysters to start. My wife had the Lobster and Linguine. I had the Fisherman’s Platter. Let me tell you my wife’s dinner had about 4 whole Lobster claws in it and a half a tail. Very nice. My platter was outstanding I couldn’t finish it all. For dessert we had the strawberry shortcake.
All and all it’s very reasonable for what you’re getting. I would definitely recommend this establishment to anyone looking for a seafood restaurant to take your spouse or date to.

Celebrated my mom’s birthday at Green Island Oyster last night! We had a 5 pm reservation and were seated right away. To start, we shared the pineapple express and a blackberry mojito, followed by the ichabod oysters, dressed oysters, and clam chowder – all were hits! For my main course, I had the oven-baked haddock and my mom enjoyed the lobster roll. While the haddock needed a bit more seasoning and the lobster roll could have had more meat, we both loved the ambiance and decor. I’d go back for another try.
