Second visit to this lovely restaurant, and as previously everything was faultless. We chose 2 street food dishes each plus tandoori broccoli, poppadoms, spiced onions and peanut salad – they were all amazing. There are some dishes on the menu you never see at any other Indian restaurants. The little complimentary tomato soup is a nice touch. Staff are lovely, very polite and attentive. The restaurant itself is beautiful. Very happy and thoroughly recommend Green Gates Renfrew.

With the new bridge opening this restaurant is now a 5 minute drive from my house.
I’d heard good things about the food in the past, and in glad to say it was true.
The food was authentic, tasty and very reasonably priced.
The staff were attentive without being overbearing, the restaurant was busy which gave it a good lively atmosphere . I’d 100% recommend this restaurant and will definitely return for more.

After hearing good things about this place,we gave it a try. We went for lunch. We had our meal of the lunch menu. The pakora was okish. Although there wasn’t really any spice in it. The main courses were warm but not hot, just edible. Maybe the alacart menu is better?. The man was nice. I don’t think we will be back.

Booked a table for small anniversary party recently, we had to submit our food choices prior to the night but the menu was extensive and everyone was happy with available choices. Service on the night was great,The staff were very friendly. Couldn’t fault anything and the value for money is great.10/10

We ate here on the 25th of January with my dad and daughter. We each had a starter and a main, and the food was amazing. The portion sizes were excellent — my daughter finished all of her meal, which says a lot! My dad loves his curries and can be quite hard to please, but he absolutely loved his. The staff were also incredibly friendly and helpful. We’ll definitely be back!

Amazing food and very attentive service. Had the Fish tandoori to start and the Railway Lamb curry – both 10/10. Will definitely return.

Terrible food. I’m from Northern Ireland, but been living in Glasgow 8 years now. My son was over few days before Christmas, decided to book this restaurant as Indian is his favourite food. So disappointed, nothing at all what I had expected, Indians in Northern Ireland are well better, I’ll name the best ever Indian Ocean in Glengormley it’s to die for, not a thing at Green Gates even tasted similar. Can’t wait to go over and visit home and get some tasty Indian food.
I’d received a call to ask me to take my review down and we’d get a meal on the house, meant to receive a text, that didn’t happen after I took it down, but when we thought about it, we will never be back, we didn’t like the food, wasted money, main dishes especially weren’t eaten. So I’m putting a review here cause I’m giving my honest opinion, I’m not being rude, we all have different tastes, so you’d need the try the restaurant for yourself. I like to give honest opinions, I’d prefer people would also, cause I tend to go a lot by reviews. Truthfully, £98 odd pounds would have been better spent elsewhere

From the moment you step inside, this restaurant delivers an unforgettable five-star experience. The ambiance is elegant yet welcoming, setting the perfect tone for an exceptional meal. Every dish is a masterpiece—beautifully presented, rich in flavor, and made with the highest-quality ingredients.

The food is simply amazing. Each bite reflects expert craftsmanship, balanced seasoning, and thoughtful creativity. From the appetizers to the desserts, everything tastes fresh, refined, and indulgent without being overwhelming.

The service is equally outstanding: attentive, professional, and genuinely warm, making you feel valued throughout your visit. Every detail, from presentation to timing, is handled with care and precision.

This is not just a meal—it’s a culinary experience. Highly recommended for anyone seeking top-tier cuisine and an unforgettable dining experience. ️

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Authentic Taste of India!

We had an absolutely wonderful dining experience at this amazing Indian restaurant! I visited with a group of friends, and from starters to dessert, everything was full of flavour and beautifully presented.

We began with Aloo Tikki Papdi Chaat and Old Delhi-style Chicken – both were bursting with the perfect blend of spices and reminded us of the street food stalls in Delhi. The chaat had that nostalgic tangy-crunchy balance, and the chicken was juicy with just the right hint of smokiness.

For the main course, the Nalli Gosht was a showstopper – incredibly tender lamb in a rich, aromatic gravy. The Chole Bhature brought back real Punjabi vibes – fluffy bhature and spicy, flavorful chickpeas. The Soya Chaap Curry was another delightful surprise – rich, creamy, and perfect with the soft Garlic Naans.

To end our meal, we had Malai Kulfi, which was creamy, traditional, and absolutely delicious – the perfect sweet finish.

The service was warm and attentive, and the atmosphere made us feel right at home. Highly recommend this place if you’re craving authentic Indian flavours with great hospitality. We’ll definitely be back!

Really enjoyed eating here. The food was delicious, the staff were super friendly and welcoming and the atmosphere was nice. Service was quick and I’d definitely come back. 1000000%. Recommend the malai soy chaps. They also gave my mum a little birthday surprise cake which was such a sweet treat and gesture.
