I used to go when I was younger, kind of forgot about it until a few years ago. Which was still as good as I remembered, but the past few times we’ve been it hasn’t as been great as before, but was still good. This time I’d have to say it was just okay. Now with that being said here is why we (husband and I) thought it was “okay”… first very busy, had something going on but we were able to get seated right when we walked in, (normally we have some kind of a wait, which is maybe like 10 or 15 mins) waitress came to our table took our drink order, brought my soda within 10 mins, husband beer came well after mine to the point it was flat looking and almost warm (but don’t worry he still drank it). Our fried cauliflower which came out before his beer was okay (just like every other fried cauliflower) the ranch dressing we got was just a milky sour cream no flavor at all. I got the double cheeseburger basket, normally I get so many fries that we can share them both, this time not so many. The burger was nothing to write about, we felt we could of gotten one from Culver’s and been happier, plus half the price. Like I said nothing to write about. Now here is where I felt like this was a make it make since kind of deal… Husband got a bowl of Chili and I also got a bowl to go he gets Chili in a bowl, she later brings mine all nicely in a bag even stapled the bag together. this is the part I don’t get, why was it that my to go bowl was just 1 styrofoam cup and my husband’s bowl which we had eat some of then asked for a to go bowl to put it in, was 2 styrofoam cups worth and I only got 1 cup for mine. I asked for a BOWL we paid the same price for both. like I had said before we even eat some of his before he asked to take it with him and he still needed 2 cups. Now back to the Chili (which was why we came in the first place) it was more of a soup or tomato broth with beans and very non flavored, poor quality tasting meat. Unless you want burnt as a flavor cause the meat was burnt but besides that no flavor at all. I felt like I was eating tomato broth with a burnt after taste. We drove almost an hr (55 mins) for manly their Chili and I wish we really hadn’t. Every disappointed with everything. I know not every time is going to be fabulous but the past couple of times we’ve been it’s just been good, this time if you couldn’t tell we were both disappointed. Husband said he doesn’t know if he he really wants to come back. I’m hoping they were just having a really off day. Also had my chili today (we went yesterday) and still no flavor, I take it back the burnt meat came though just fine so if burnt tomato broth was what they were going for then it’s a 10 out of 10. Also we’ll drive to places just to eat there we don’t mind (have driven almost 4 hrs one time). Cause we always find other things to do after. So this is what I say is close for us, but now we don’t know if we want to come back. if you want to know if we (or I) said anything no husband didn’t want me to and our waitress was busy (had to flag her down to get the check and then that took so time). Plus she didn’t make the food and like I said they were busy and would it of mattered probably not.

What a fun local burger place. The cheeseburgers are just cheeseburgers and totally hit the spot . Now the fries are a different story, the are coated…….I’m generally not a fan. But, these are OK……but, the cheeseburgers . Food was hot and reasonable wait. Certainly will be returning.

Can I just say this was the BEST smash burger I’ve ever had. Pricing was fantastic as well! Had the Burger of the Week which was a Jalapeño Popper Smash Burger. Made it a double. Also tried the fries, cheese curd, and pepper Jack cheese bites. Everything was delicious. Service was great! It was so good we came back again the next day! Don’t skip out on this amazing spot.

We loved Green Gables before it was rebuilt, and the new space is even more incredible! You have to check it out if you haven’t been back! The PB&J Burger was one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. Everything was flavorful, crispy, and well cooked. Also super reasonably priced.

We love Green Gables! We have been going here for years and are so thankful that they have rebuilt a new beautiful building! The food was great and so was the service! We loved how they presented the burgers too. Highly recommend checking them out, we can’t wait to go back!

The absolute WORST dining experience of my eating career. We waited over an hour for a table which was our first mistake. It took 32 minutes to get drinks and appetizers after we were seated on top of the pool table full of EXTREMELY LOUD and OBNOXIOUS frat boys. I couldn’t hear myself think or talk to anyone at my table.
The food was mediocre at BEST and did not come out together. My daughter got her chicken strips 15 minutes later. The sandwiches are wrapped TO GO even though you are dining in. The fries were itty bitty pieces and the onion rings were all stuck together- one side burnt and the other side not. We asked for sides and didn’t get them. The waitress said “let me go check” and NEVER RETURNED. We did not receive drink refills. I had to go to the bar twice to request them. The waitress had long hair and it was NOT TIED BACK. She was swinging it everywhere and that’s GROSS and against food handling guidelines.
I had high expectations to try this place out- never went to the old one so we wanted to see what the hype was about as a local resident. I was VERY DISAPPOINTED. When my check arrived, it was wrong. I asked for an ITEMIZED receipt so I could verify the charges. The waitress just wanted me to stick my card in her machine. NOPE! Give me my receipt first.
We arrived at 6:45pm and cashed out at 9:08pm! ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS! I left with a blazing headache and a pocket full of REGRETS.
You got me once, Green Gables Bar and Grill “ICON RESORT of the WORLD,” but you won’t get me TWICE. I’m confident my experience would have been the same on any given day or time.

Service is excellent, place is very clean!! Food was warm, burger patties claim to be 1/4 but very thin. Fry portions very small as well as appetizers. Deep fried mushrooms are about .75$ each shroom!

I got the buoy with pepperjack cheese balls. The buoy was amazing. The toast was done perfectly, the patties seasoned nicely, bacon and bbq sauce just added to it all. Pepperjack cheese balls were good as well. This place is always busy due to the hype of their grand reopening after their tragic fire a couple years ago. Inside atmosphere is cozy but modern. Staff are friendly and always helpful. Just a final note is parking is pretty packed so you might not find a spot.
