This experience wasn’t the best for us. First, I have to say that the staff is always helpful, professional, and busy at this location and they usually try to accommodate their guests. However, for some reason, we received coffee that wasn’t hot and we requested replacements, it was hot but did not good. The cheese in the shrimp and grits was off putting. The red velvet pancakes were cooked too long. We asked to have them removed. The manager stated that she could not remove them, but could swap them out for something else. Thinking that the next batch will be better, we were completely wrong. They turned out exactly the same. My husband’s Cure meal was too salty. Overall, this visit was a total. From our previous visits, the food always tasted great, so maybe we’ll wait for a bit and try a new location.

One of my favorite spots to taste something new I never had. The French Toast was different and definitely enough for two. I had the Oatmeal and Chai tea and it was the perfect portions. The test was a1 aswell

Great staff, lots of really interesting options and everyone in our party was happy with their meal!

The gratuity on certain bill amounts was a little confusing/ not really clearly indicated, and it’s a cash only establishment, but if that’s the only complaint that’s pretty good in my book.

They do also wait until your full party has arrived before they’ll seat you.

The specialty coffees were awesome, and we really enjoyed the Short Rib Benedict!!

I’m a regular customer at Green Eggs and thoroughly enjoy each visit. I’ve always been provided quality service from the staff and love the atmosphere. It can be a little cramped at times but that is a testament of the great service and awesome menu options. I’ve tried many items and seeing what other customers order always leaves me intrigued to to try that on my next visit. The only downside is parking it can be super chaotic and the PPA is always lurking. Even with the high volume of customers there isn’t a long wait. Looking forward to the next visit. Thank you!

The food was amazing minus the bloody eggs. (You can’t request your steak well done) the service was okay! Our group of 3 had to keep looking for the server when he was needed. They did forget a few items but brought them out when asked. I would return in hopes of getting a different server.

Cutesy spot for breakfast/brunch. Food was delicious! Only thing I wish they had was a bar or wine/champagne at minimum. A mimosa would have took my experience over the top.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Green Eggs Cafe located on 28th & Girard , the experience was made even better thanks to Farina, who was my host. Farina greeted me with such a warm and welcoming energy that it immediately set the tone for a great brunch.
She was attentive, professional, and genuinely kind checking in at just the right moments and making sure everything was perfect without ever feeling overbearing. It’s rare to come across someone who makes you feel both comfortable and valued as a guest, but Farina did exactly that.
Of course, the food was amazing — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented — but great service always elevates a meal, and Farina truly did that. Her positive attitude and attentiveness made the entire experience memorable.
I’ll definitely be coming back, not just for the delicious food, but for the exceptional hospitality. If you visit Green Eggs Cafe, I highly recommend asking for Farina — she’s wonderful!

Extremely disappointing experience — avoid this place.

We had one of the worst dining experiences here. First, the food was terrible: the eggs were completely overcooked, the sausage and pork were dry and burnt — absolutely inedible. They brought the wrong bread and didn’t even bother to fix it.

To make matters worse, the service was nonexistent. We were ignored for at least 20 minutes — no one came to take our order or even check on us. Once the order was finally taken, it took forever to arrive, and during the entire meal, no one came by to ask if we needed anything. No coffee refill, no check-in, no “how’s everything?” — nothing.

Then they had the nerve to automatically add a service charge to the bill without any prior notice. Honestly, the service didn’t deserve a tip, let alone a mandatory one.

If you care about good food and basic hospitality, this is not the place. I would not recommend it to anyone.

Lived in the neighborhood for years and just got around to trying Green Eggs Cafe. It was an overall pretty mediocre experience.

The chips ahoy latte was fun and unique, pretty tasty. The cinnamon bun french toast was a bit soggy, I wish it had a firmer texture to it. The eggs your way was not great. The eggs came out cold and everything on the plate tasted like it had no salt on it. The sausage patties were super dense, they almost tasted like sliders.

Overall, there are much better brunch spots and I unfortunately wouldn’t see myself coming back. I also was not a fan of the fact that you cannot pay with a card, cash only. And they add an automatic 20% service charge.
