It was a Friday evening at 6pm. My wife and I were seated right away which was awesome as we were on a time frame. Our waitress was very friendly, the food was delicious, I had the stuffed orange roughy and the wife had the Icelandic Haddock broiled. As I mentioned, very delicious. Our first time visiting, we will go back again sometime.

This is a supper club atmosphere. Reservations should be made. Prices range from $21 and up. We were given a small loaf of bread and a few slices of garlic bread with delicious cheese to start. We didn’t order apps because we knew we’d have plenty to eat with our meals, and we weren’t disappointed. The fried shrimp were extra large and tempura battered. The broasted chicken was crispy and very juicy. The 20oz ribeye was huge! All were served with a choice of potato or vegetable of the day, soup or salad. We all had enough leftovers to make another meal.

A classic supper Club where you get drinks downstairs while you wait for your table. Expect a little bit of a wait on a Friday Fish Fry! Portions are Wisconsin Large and the prices seem pretty fair considering the good quality of the food. The parking lot does fill up so if you do have the option to carpool, I recommend it.

We decided to try Green Acres for prime rib on a Saturday. Everything was great. The prime rib for perfect. The hash browns, salad, and bread were all great. Our server, Erin, was very welcoming and attentive. The atmosphere was festive for the holidays, and the upstairs dining room had a welcoming feel to it. We will definitely go back. Many items on the menu sounded tempting!

This was the perfect supper club experience after a day of fun in the Sauk City area. We had gone tubing down the Sauk River, followed by a visit to Wollersheim Winery, and had worked up a huge appetite for dinner at Green Acres. Kelly F was our waitress and she was outstanding- when she heard one of us was celebrating a birthday, she had a candle in each course that was brought to our table! The food was fantastic- between the three of us we ran the gamut between filet mignon, salmon Oscar, and two of the seafood specials. All were delicious and cooked perfectly. The old fashioneds and ice cream drinks for dessert were spot on. We will definitely be back, especially since Kelly gave us more ideas of fun things to do in the area for the next time we road trip from Milwaukee. It was a spur of the moment decision to stop at this cute looking supper club and we are so happy we did… Green Acres is the place for us!

Disappointed in our Saturday night visit.

We’ve been here before for fish and it was wonderful, so tonight was a letdown. We ordered a ribeye and a king cut prime rib, and things started off rough with drinks that were over-poured and tasted more like cocktails served “on the rocks” than what we ordered.

The prime rib came out cold, along with the onions and mushrooms. They did replace the steak promptly, which I appreciate, but by then the experience was already disappointing and it really took away from the meal.

I will say the deep-fried shrimp were excellent—easily the highlight of the night.

A charming old supper club with a lot of history. The staff was very friendly and greeted us right away. Our server was wonderful and checked back with us often. We ordered the prime rib and the pork chop dinners, both were delicious and cooked perfectly. If you like a good Old Fashioned, this is a place to get one!

Good food, friendly staff, relaxing atmosphere, and generous portions. The Friday fish fry was well prepared with a light and crispy batter. Large serving sizes so no one went home hungry. Follow up a couple years later, still impressed I was excited to enjoy another fish fry. A classic WI supper club worthy of the drive. Excellent old fashioned made to your order. Feeding 5 people and still had left overs to go.

Old fashioned was great, Prime rib cuts were good, lacked flavor unless you got the blue cheese on it which was great. Mushrooms weren’t hot and mashed potatoes were instant and not much flavor. A little disappointed for the money. Great brandy Alexander. Our waitress Lindsey was fabulous though.
