First time here last night for a birthday. Got there about 5:30 and sat at the bar for bit. It was very slow on a Wednesday. We got two old fashions, sweet, and to our surprise they came with cherries and pineapple! The pineapple was a different touch and it was really good. We started our meal with a swiss cheese & bacon dip that was awesome. Then we moved onto our soup of french onion that didnt come with a blanket of cheese over it like you’re used to. The Wedge salad was the item that really stood out. Delicious. I got Potato & Cheddar Crusted Cod, which I would pass on ordering again. No crust and a little soggy made it a tough eat. Her salmon she described as “fine but a large piece.” The thing that would make us returning customers were the Old Fashions, Wedge Salad, and after dinner we got some awesome Grasshoppers. I’d say the place is worth another shot and you should stop in!

Good food, friendly staff, relaxing atmosphere, and generous portions. The Friday fish fry was well prepared with a light and crispy batter. Large serving sizes so no one went home hungry. Follow up a couple years later, still impressed I was excited to enjoy another fish fry. A classic WI supper club worthy of the drive. Excellent old fashioned made to your order. Feeding 5 people and still had left overs to go.

Been coming here for well over 20 years and it’s just NOT the same since new owners! The epic salad bar is greatly missed!!!!…miss the chilled bowls, toppings options, cheese, big bowl of garlic bread, etc. The table salad you get served is comparable to what you’d get at Kwik Trip, actually less. The garlic bread is the size of a cracker. The prices have increased yet quality has gone down. Used to be able to transfer your bar tab to your table but apparently not anymore because when I asked the bar tender just waived his hand in the air and shook his head no, rude.

The food here has been traditionally excellent. The change in management or ownership the past couple of years has forced changes. The cheese provided is not the same quality as it used to be and while still good the fish was greasy than normal. They also seem to fry the children’s chicken tenders in the same oil they fry the fish giving the chicken a fish flavor and could be a problem if kids have fish allergies.

Ordered NY strip. It was “good”, but I thought the steak itself lacked a bit of flavor, but aus jus saved it. The fries were a perfect amount of crispy. Good Brandy old-fashioned. The grasshopper is also good. French onion soup was one of the best I’ve had. Service was great. You should go here.

A charming old supper club with a lot of history. The staff was very friendly and greeted us right away. Our server was wonderful and checked back with us often. We ordered the prime rib and the pork chop dinners, both were delicious and cooked perfectly. If you like a good Old Fashioned, this is a place to get one!

I have been an outspoken, loyal fan of Green Acres for years. Friendly staff. Excellent bar & drinks. Great shrimp. Awesome salad bar. ( pre Covid ). Very nice owners. Arrived early last Friday for my birthday dinner. The young Hostess asked if we had reservations. I replied ” I didn’t know you took reservations on Friday nights.” ( Rare on a Friday.) Before she could reply, the tall young man working with her whips past me and as he passes he says snarkily. ” Only for the last 30 years! ” The 2 couples behind me heard him too & we all appalled. I felt very unwelcome & disrespected. Our server was the best. My shrimp was delish but batter was very soggy. My guy had baked haddock. It was fishy, tough & lukewarm. I will return for the Old Fashioneds but I may not dine there again. A suggestion? Install some lighting outside the rest rooms. It is not safe for the many Seniors who frequent the place.

Love, love, love everything about Green Acres! I have never been disappointed in anything on my visits! I only recommend on Friday nights you call and make reservations, unless you don’t mind waiting…. The bar is a very comfortable place to wait. ☺️
