Social Profile:

Greek Souvlaki was founded in 1972 by Lee and Mary Paulos. They were the first to bring yeeros (gyros) to Utah. It was a family visit back to Greece that sparked the idea of a restaurant. Lee’s brother, Tasos Petropoulos, owned a small restaurant serving yeeros in Pireaus and Lee noticed that the tourists loved them. At first, Greek Souvlaki only sold three items: yeeros (gyro), souvlaki, and beefteki. The red sauce was the specialty sauce, in fact white sauce was added many years later! With Mary’s home made recipes and Lee’s inventive and creative mind, they added many other items to their menu. The business has grown with two additional stores since Lee and Mary retired in the year 2000. Great customer service, good quality products, …

The food is great, but i won’t go back until it’s renovated. I have never seen a filthier dining room. The fabric on the back of the booths is so dirty the color can only be described as filth, the booth seats are split, the ceiling is peeling above the cashiers area, the wood trim on the tables is stripped. My son got a drink from the soda machine and a fly fell out of the ice dispenser. I just can’t believe this isn’t some sort of a health violation.

I ate here 3-5 times a week until tonight. I’m done. Used to have good food, now the lemon soup has no lemon in it and the dolmas are dried out and disgusting. At this point, I’ve wasted $30 on completely inedible food.
I have ARFID and this was one of the few things I could eat. Now I’m screwed.

I called to ask if they changed the recipe, but apparently they don’t make the soup or dolmas, just get them in. So expect the same trash at all locations.

Oh and this was at 5:30 in the evening. If you don’t have fresh food for dinner, when exactly do you have fresh food?

I’m a huge fan of Greek food so when I had the opportunity to stop in I had to make the most of it!
I had the Spinach Pie and a Veggie Gyro. Im always grateful for the vegetarian option (It is NOT vegan). The gyro had some awesome flavor and was loaded with goodness including rice and beans! The Spinach Pie was tasty, but sadly it was dry and the crust had lost it’s flakeyness. Still SO good, but it reminded me of when I make it and have it as leftovers. (It’s still worth a try because again it was tasty)
The restaurant is a little tiered and could use an uplift with seating and decor, but it was very clean and comfortable.
The staff was curious and patient with many of the customers that didn’t have much familiarity with the names and ingredients in the dishes, my order came to me timely and presented perfectly.
This will turn into a regular stop for me as I will have more opportunities to stop by as I’m going out to the job sites.

The food here is not bad. The inside of the restaurant is sticky and disgusting and it’s offensive that the people in the drive-through would ask for a tip. Why would you ask for a tip? If you didn’t bring my food to me fill my drink up and take my order definitely doesn’t constitute a tip. I think I’ll just go to Astro Burger or somewhere else for my gyro.

I really enjoyed the food there. It was definitely a new experience but the service to customer was amazing. Shoutout to Santiago! He treated me and my family with much respect and made very good conversation.

This is definitely fast food. The fact that my wife and I ate for $28 I would give it a B+ but comparing it to other Greek food I would give it about a D. I added hummus for $3.50 and it was less than 1/4 of a cup. I’m pretty sure their pita bread is the same thing that Taco Bell uses for their chalupas. Definitely not something that was made at the restaurant. Also, found it odd that a Greek restaurant did not offer lamb.

If I could leave a Zero, I would. Warning: we ordered from Greek Souvlaki on Uber Eats and IMMEDIATELY canceled when we saw the price. Despite IMMEDIATELY canceling, we were charged $44 for absolutely nothing. UE said the restaurant accepted the order in that minute or less, so we were just screwed. I IMMEDIATELY canceled my Uber One and will never order food from Greek Souvlaki again. Common thievery.

Pretty good overall, the pork kabobs were the overall favorite. Rice has a lot of flavor, the gyros were good, but could have used a little more pizazz. Very friendly staff and clean location.

We had dine in, the food was prepared pretty quickly. The family feast has a lot of rice and salad and pitas, but not as much meat as we would have liked.
