Tiny, longtime take-out spot, often with lines out the door at lunch, serving classic Greek fare.

My first time here and I was impressed with how nice and friendly the lady at the counter was. She gave me potatoes to try and lamb. It was quick, and the food was amazing.
I got a small plate with 2 types of chicken, tiny bit of lamb to try, orzo, green beans. Flavor was popping, food was warm and plenty it was all in one container so it didnt look very artsy but it tasted sooo good that I ate all of it and it was def 2 or 3 serving size for someone my size. and the bread that came with was amazing, smelled and tasted fresh. Outside was crispy ish yet soft and inside very fluffy. My only one issue was that green beans was very oily. But I still ate it all.
Overall- will def go back, and may bring my friends. Def will bring family. They have so many chicken, lamb, turkey varieties for those who dont want pork or beef all the time.
It was just me and a friend so we sat in their tiny table but I will say this is take out place. Not a lot of space to sit and eat. It gets busy too, but they are extremely quick with service.

Surrounded by many other restaurants, don’t overlook this tiny Greek fast-casual restaurant with a large menu of all the usual Greek fixings. I ordered their traditional gyro and it was the perfect amount of food and quite tasty. Since they don’t give cups of water, I bought two bottles of water. My bill came to over $21. They also have a small fridge area with other goods and drinks. Inside is one table that sits two.

I used to go here all the time for lunch when I worked on K. I loved it! Everything I got was always amazing. I went back last week, and it wasn’t as good. I used to get the gyro all the time and it was outstanding. The meat was tender and tasty, and on the pita with it was diced tomato, onion, and cucumber with fresh dill! The one I got last week was like any other gyro. The meat was good, though on the dry side. The tzatziki sauce seemed the same. On the pita with the meat, though, was just ice burg lettuce with a slice of onion and slice of tomato. It was fine, but not nearly as good.

Greek Deli & Catering is such a charming spot! The food is fresh, flavorful, and authentically Greek, with generous portions. The space feels cozy and welcoming, and the staff are friendly and attentive. Definitely a place I’d return to for a casual, chic meal.

This is by far the most authentic Greek food I’ve had in DC. Tastes like something my grandparents would make, authentic flavors, I’m really impressed. It’s so hard to find casual and good quality Greek food here, and I feel like I’ve just found a gem!
I got a plate with rice, lamb and okra.
Delicious and again I can’t say enough, authentic as it can get.

I’m so excited to finally have found a gyro comparable to those I had in Greece! Everything about the gyro is perfect…the meat was grilled just enough, the pita was soft and warm, the Tzatziki was thick and flavorful. The biggest surprise was how delicious the chicken with lemon soup was. It is served with a large slice of fresh bread. Entering the establishment was very typical of Greece too, which makes me happy! Will definitely be back here…often!

Best soups (chicken lemon or lentil)
Gyro was tasty even though was thick sliced (would have really good if thin sliced). Anyway, great place to eat fast and good.

The traditional gyro is one of the best I’ve ever had – including when I went to Greece! Great spot for lunch. Reasonable prices, good portions and friendly staff.

I bought a Greek Salad w/meat. The WORST GREEK SALAD I EVER HAD!! First, they use iceberg lettuce! The worst lettuce in the world with no flavor or vitamins/minerals in it at all. For the price, we could at least have a better upgrade of lettuce! Second, there were only 2 small olives, 2 banana peppers, NO onions! Really! The salad dressing was TASTELESS and had absolutely NO (greek) vinagarette flavor at all, very horrible. The greek (white/yogurt) sauce was also TERRIBLE, absolutely NO flavor. And the price was $15.99. WOW. What a horrible salad! Never again!!!! The previous owners of this restaurant did not have a problem with their salads, at least they tasted Greek. I wouldn’t dare try a real meal item with the prices they charge. HORRIBLE SALAD MAKERS!!

I’m Greek and this is the best Greek food in DC. Kostas is very friendly and kind. There is no indoor seating, there is some outdoor seating. It’s true to the word “deli”, you grab and go. I hope this establishment is here forever!!
