I recently visited Greek City Grill and had an incredible experience from start to finish. My meal began with a gyro sandwich that was packed with flavor, followed by a side order of chicken souvlaki that was perfectly seasoned and grilled to perfection. To top it all off, I enjoyed a honey-walnut pound cake for dessert that was rich, moist, and absolutely delicious. Every bite reminded me why authentic Greek cuisine is so special.
What truly sets this place apart, though, is the people behind it. I had the pleasure of meeting George, his cousin Joanna, and his wife Ana, who together run this family-owned business with warmth and pride. Their hospitality and friendliness made me feel right at home, and it’s clear they care deeply about both their food and their customers. Great food, great service, and great people—Greek City Grill delivers on all fronts and is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic Greek flavors.

Excellent food and service featuring truly homemade flavors. The hummus and tzatziki sauce had perfectly balanced flavors with the exact right touches of garlic and olive oil. Rose petals in the lemonade was subtle and delightful. The portions are generous and prices are very reasonable for the high quality. Dessert choices included Greek imports and hand made dishes. 5 stars are not enough for this surprising tucked away gem.

Went there today for the first time, they did not disappoint. Its a small cozy restaurant that’s family owned. There portions are huge, I barely finished my gyro sandwich . I also had the lemon potatoes which was really good too. We met Ana she’s the owner’s wife , she made us feel right at home. She was very friendly & personable. If you live in the franklin square area, you have to come here and give it a try. The price is very reasonable & the portions are huge. I can’t wait to go back again .

August 20, 2025 Back 2 yrs after first review (dont live in the area) as great as first time, this time had a wonderful server Anna, the food tastes as good as it looks!! If your in the area its a must. Desserts shipped in from Greece or homemade, coffee was excellent — previous review- Delicious food in a clean attractive space. Waitress was attentive, upbeat and friendly. Looking forward to going back when in the area….shared a large Greek salad with chicken soulvauki (the chicken was especially delicious enjoyed the spices on it) all sauces top notch -homemade.

Stopped by for an improvised date and ordered some of the staples: dip trio (taramasalata, skordalia, spicy feta), lemon potatoes, grilled octopus, zucchini chips, gyro… Everything was made fresh and had a great, authentic taste. The dips were super addictive and we had to stop ourselves to not fill up before the mains. The zucchini chips were very crispy. Loved the grilled octopus – tender and juicy. We also had some Greek beer that was delicious and Greek frappe for dessert.
Our hostess – Anna – was very friendly, answered all our questions and made the experience very personal. We felt welcomed and taken cared of.
