I got the half Greek style chicken with rice and potatoes for $13.95. What a deal! The chicken was warm, moist, and flavorful, the potatoes slightly sweet, and the rice tasty. It even came with garlic bread. Definitely better than any fast food!

We wanted to love this place, but the food is very mid. Gyro was tasty but oily. The falafel was the worst item we tried. Fries were super crunchy as if they’ve been left in the fryer too long. Service was good.

I came here for lunch for the first time. While the restaurant is small, they offer outdoor seating, which is nice in the summer. I opted for both the Ruben and Chicken Gyros, and while both were delicious, the Ruben stood out as my preferred choice. The fries also impressed me with their ideal texture and crispiness. The service was satisfactory, with the only minor drawback being the noticeable smokiness inside.

This past mid September was the very first time trying this place and I’m glad I did. I’m a bit of a Gyros junkie so stumbling onto the name on Google maps caught my attention.
My family & I were wandering around Old Orchard before coming here but I’m not familiar with any restaurants within the mall that serve up Gyros or at least I haven’t heard of any popular name that’s known for their Gyros there.
Told my wife I’ve got that craving and wanna go exploring. Grecian Kitchen sounded just dandy and also in town not all that far from the mall and I always try my best to support local.
I know besides actual Greek restaurants that there are hundreds of Chicago/Greek grills that many people would claim “MEH, they’re all the same!”. Not always the case for me and GK boasts a great menu with really good food and especially the Gyros.
I’ve had my fair share of places that have served up some bland & boring Gyros before and never to return. Gyros here are excellent; meat is soft & moist, well seasoned and not too salty.
Prices are still reasonable amidst the pandemic, nationwide inflation and the minimum wage hike. Clean dining room with outdoor seating as well with friendly customer service.
We live up in Beach Park in between Wadsworth and Waukegan so not sure when I’ll get back down here but if my wife ever wants to browse Nordstrom which Old Orchard is the closest to our house then I’ll have to make room for some savory Gyros.
I wish a prosperous & successful future for the owner(s) and decades of boomin’ business to come their way.

I had a special order for Italian Nacho Fries instead of Greek Nacho Fries… which included italian beef, nacho cheese and hot giardiniera peppers. You guys never fail me. The best dish ever!!!! Thanks so much for making my food dream come true!
