Under NEW OWNERSHIP and WORTH a revisit. They painted and cleaned up the eating area. I’m sure they’ll improve the lighting as business picks up but I was enthralled at how they fixed up the eating area already. The food was good – I had boiled dumplings which I found quite tasty. The spring was good and my life had Moo Goo Gai Pan which she loved.

For the past few years, they seemed to be mostly take out. I was glad to be able to dine in there today, even if I was the only one. Take out service remained brisk though. I liked that they had 2 menus to choose from. I often choose from their gourmet menu. My go-to dish was always their steamed chicken, which is close to the Hainanise style ginger dish I grew up with. Today, being a wet and soggy rainy day , it only seemed appropriate to have a hot pot. The simple Chinese broccoli adds a bit of crunch to my meal. Savory and delicious.

Have been there twice now, since new owners/management and we have not been disappointed. Tried 2 different specialty dishes, Happy Family Seafood dish and the General Tao Chicken. Both super fresh and made with care. They were delicious. Try them out! You won’t regret it!

Great Wall Restaurant serves some of the best chinese food you’ll find in western mass. It’s not oily, overly sugared, nor full of MSG. The Great Wall was recently sold, and the new owner has maintained the quality of cuisine and much of the menu and recipes. I recommend the Steamed Chicken, which is similar to the chicken dishes on the old Gourmet menu. The interior of the restaurant has been repainted with brighter colors, and the new staff is friendly and accommodating. I look forward to returning to try other dishes.

Just had food delivered. First time with new owners. We all loved our food! Finally a place that knows how to make oyster sauce for egg foo Yung! Velvet chicken corn Soup was great. Everything tasted the way its supposed to.

I happen to be in the area recently and was finding myself craving Chinese food but with limited time available in my schedule. I haven’t been to this restaurant in years and decided to give it a try, as last time I decided to try it, it wasn’t very good. The restaurant is in even worse condition than it was last time I was here. It’s dirty, unorganized, and there’s clutter everywhere. It’s incredibly uninviting. The carpet had dirt and stains everywhere. The service was some of the worst I’ve ever had. I ended up leaving my payment on the table and walking out because no one ever came back after delivering my order to me. The food was some of the worst I’ve ever had. I ordered a combination plate with fried rice, boneless spareribs, chicken fingers, and an egg roll. I am not that picky of an eater, and tend to like most of what I get out in restaurants, but this tasted like it was on the verge of going bad, and I was really afraid to eat the food, fearing I was going to get sick. If you’re looking for Chinese food, I would recommend that you completely skip this place and go elsewhere.

Maybe my mistake was I forgot to order flavor when I called in Chicken and Broc in garlic sauce… Really strange how it could be so mediocre. It’s one thing when something is bad, but no flavor?? Only time in my life I was glad they put in the soy sauce packet. Rice Pilaf packet was about the flavor this offered.
