Bebap was a fantastic dining experience! We went for a celebration and it was perfect. The atmosphere is wonderful, perfect for a celebration, great to have a conversation, service was fast and so incredibly kind and informative. They gave great recommendations and they were absolutely right to suggest sharing meals family style! We each ordered something that sounded good and then tried a little bit of everything – they even had small bowls to share the soups if you’d like.
The food was fantastic, flavorful, delicious and everything was well balanced. We would definitely come back and would recommend for everyone to try! If you have never had Korean food, you might feel intimidated to try something new but you will not be dissatisfied. The waiter will help you choose and explain dishes! The Beef bulgogi is an excellent and easy choice for anyone who might be unsure or for kids, flavorful and not spicy.
Both cocktails and mocktails were fantastic, lots of fun drinks and great NA options.
Im excited to go back anytime we are in town!

Very nice decor in this restaurant. The soy glazed pork belly was on point. Probably my favorite dish I tried there. Very flavorful and cooked perfectly. The short rib beef soup was super tender but most of the meat was just pieces of fat sadly. The parts that did have meat was super tender though. Sadly the broth was also very bland. It lacked any sort of seasoning. The gimbap bulgogi had a weird taste and I couldn’t figure out what it was. The seafood pancake was really good with the sauce. Good portion of dough and seafood. Overall, I would recommend to give this place a try. I would definitely go back to try more items though the next time I’m in town.

Came to town to support a friend getting a transplant. I know that she loves Korean food so I looked around and got a recommendation.

This place is just four city blocks away from where we are staying with lots of atmosphere and a great vibe. Their weekend brunch runs from 10:30 to 2PM and has something called the Big Boy Korean Breakfast: house made kimchi cured thick cut bacon, crispy spam, sauté kimchi and rice with two eggs sunny side up. It comes in the piping hot stone bowl so the rice at the bottom is forming into the traditionally beloved golden crust called “nuronggi”. $22

The vegetarian “banchan” side dishes included: potato salad and the kimchi were on point and the squash side dish was seasoned perfectly.

The winter to a menu includes Galbitang $22 which is a delicious beef short rib comfort soup in a great broth with Korean radish and scallions. Calamari $15 which deep-fried squid with gochujang aïoli sauce. Dakgalbi $23 which is stir fried chicken with cabbage and sweet potatoes. They have the Korean corn dogs $7.50 And they are making another comfort soup: Jjampong Noodles $20 — a spicy noodle soup with seafood, pork belly, cabbage, onions, and zucchini — which is a favorite. They also have a vegan mushroom bulgogi $18.

Also, appreciated the familiar chill Korean music in the background and loved the atmosphere. Especially the murals on the wall which represent the waves and clouds. They are called the mural outside along the side of the wall.

I came in on a Sunday towards the end of their brunch and there was plenty of seating. But I have been told that during the week things are hopping and they get full.

Gillian was an excellent and attentive server. She handled an odd situation with another customer who was paying too much attention very diplomatically. Her courteous professionalism was appreciated.

I want to preface by saying I’ve lived in the Bay Area and New York City so I am picky. I’ve visited plenty of authentic Korean restaurants, and this unfortunately is not one of them. Their gimbap’s rice is so thick I can wear it as a blanket (see pics). Their kimchi is barely fermented and tasteless. Their bossam is mostly fat (see pics). The sides of the bossam are all supposed to be marinated but are not. The food is ok. Def not authentic tho. The service and decor was fine.

This food was gas, SO GOOD. Bebap updated their menu and the new menu is phenomenal. From the starter mushrooms to the pink drink to the sides to the crispy shrimp to the short ribs to the sesame ice cream, all good! They partner with flapdoodles for the sesame ice cream, almost a peanut butter flavor. The mushrooms were a show stopper. The shrimp were great crispy but then at the end of the meal go lt soggy from the sauce, perhaps get the sauce on the side. I had tried this location when it first opened but was unimpressed, now I am a convert. I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone! Thanks Bebap!

We went here to celebrate a birthday and the food was absolutely delicious. There were plenty of vegan and vegetarian options – the crispy mushrooms were a highlight for everyone. We also tried the stir fried glass noodles with pork belly, bulgogi crispy rice bowl, vegan dumplings, and kimchi Korean pancakes.

Everything was flavorful and had great texture – the mushrooms were so crispy, the glass noodles were chewy and springy, and the pan fried dumplings were perfectly crisp and bouncy.

Fun selection of creative drinks with a good amount of nonalcoholic options as well.

Super cute and colorful interior, it looked like there might be outdoor seating as well in nicer weather. It was a little bit confusing to find the entrance – it’s the big ornate door right before the courtyard/outdoor seating!

I visited new restaurant in Rochester downtown the first impression of getting into the restaurant is it very classy dark ambient and a very good furnished decorated place perfect for date night.
Staff is respectable and very courteous. I ended up getting to go but hang out a little bit to have a beer and drink..
I am really disappointed with the food, first of all, it’s very pricey menu .though it was missing flour, touch of Korean spice and the quality wasn’t good. I ended up having a couple of scoops and throw the food away because it was not at all good I might have to try other food there to see if they have better options but the wild rice was bad.
You’re always going to have problems with the parking in the downtown Rochester parking lot available right in front of this restaurant.

We ordered many dishes that we liked, the crispy mushrooms were the best part I guess. They give you some small starters that we enjoyed like kimchi and steamed broccoli i really like when restaurants give you small portions of food while you wait for your meal… super nice from them!
My kids ordered Korean wings and they were surprised how delicious they were. I ordered Japchae and i absolutely loved it.
Also we truly liked the service we received from our waitress … 100% super satisfied
We definitely will come back and recommend this place!

We went during the week around 1:30pm and we were the only customers dining inside. It made for a really nice, quiet place to talk. The food was excellent and I really appreciate that they have $15 lunch specials!! I would like to see more authentic desserts, such as homemade yakgwa, yaksik, or dasik. Some punches like Sujeonggwa or Sikhye would be fun to try as well. The pork belly was a little dry, but I will definitely come again! I’m hoping in the fall that they will have Hobakjuk.

Gamsahamnida!

Bebap was easily a 5-star experience. The service, atmosphere, drinks, and food were nothing short of incredible. Sky and Avery went above and beyond to accommodate our drink requests, and they were wonderfully attentive to my friend’s celiac needs. The only small suggestion I’d make is to add hooks for purses at the bar. Overall, fantastic job!
