UPDATE: The food lately has always been fresh, and chock full of ingredients, they don’t skimp! I feel I can honestly say this is the best Chinese place lately that I’ve ever gotten food from!! The food is excellent! I ordered the house chow mein fun…it was so good! I ordered one from wok and roll a couple of weeks ago.. I’m sorry to say it was awful… It had no meat in it and no flavor. The chow mein fun served here was so much better. If you’ve never tried it before, it’s a dish I would highly recommend. Also, their hot and sour soup lately has been excellent… I wouldn’t get it from anywhere else. It was full of flavor and full of ingredients…very, very good! This is a small family-owned business… They are always very polite and always provide the best they can.

I order some food from here and it’s the most amazing food I ever tasted. My mouth couldn’t stop watering from the smell of the food and I even wanted to order more after eating my meal. I’ll definitely come again next time. And the service is impeccable with lots of smiles and laughter I couldn’t be more pleased with this place. And definitely for sure recommend this place to anyone looking for good services and delicious Chinese food.

Delicious. I ordered chicken broccoli for the first time, and it was the best. The sauce was so flavorful, and the chicken was so tender and good. Everything is so fresh and hot. I used to order chicken wings before and decided to also try out the chicken broccoli and it was the best meal I encountered. The service was good, and I definitely will come back again and order.

I’m not a person that likes to cook and would usually eat out, and I try a lot of places food. And Great Wall is definitely on the top of my number one place to go. I placed a big order tonight and everyone in the family ate happily and it was all worth it. The flavor was on top, especially the flavor on the Singapore mei fun, which has the perfect balance of taste. The General Tso’s chicken has the perfect amount of spice and sauce. The fried rice was perfectly seasoned. And everything else was extremely tasty and freshly made.And can’t forget about the service, the lady that took me treated me as her friend and is so mannered,she’s a very kind sweet person I love her so much. This place just never disappoints every time I order.

I have literally never had a worst meal. I ordered Sesame chicken and Honey chicken and it was absolutely disgusting. It literally was fried…flour. No chicken. You bite into the fried flour balls and find no meat. If I’d tried it when I picked it up, I would have asked for a refund. If you own a restaurant, one should really put more effort in the product.

To think I thought Hot Wok had mediocre décor. I’ve lived in Jax for over 30 years. As I was born and lived in Long Island growing up, I have experienced amazing cuisine from Chinese take out joints….this place was very underwhelming. The young lady taking orders seems shell shocked or traumatized when taking orders. That’s a bit off putting to say the least. My daughter and I decided to pass up our neighborhood Hot Wok and head GWCR. We read a few reviews from the Best Eats/Jax FB page and decided to give them a try. Someone claimed the fried rice was delicious. STOP SMOKING when critiquing eateries. I ordered pepper steak w/ onions. The gravy was middle of the road as well. My daughter didn’t rave a bunch about her food either.
I’m craving authentic traditional fried rice…carrots, peas, bean sprouts…and EGG (without an upcharge)

We got sick from eating here today. We’ve eaten here before and it has been ok, but today after taking a few bites the meat tasted and smelled off. Food poisoning.
Update: I was surprised by the owner’s response, which felt more defensive than concerned. I’m glad you’ve never had complaints before, but that doesn’t change the fact that our food smelled and tasted off this time, and my family got sick. The chicken had a very distinct spoiled smell (like raw salmonella), and everyone who ate it ended up vomiting. The only person in our house who didn’t get sick was the one who didn’t eat the food. I’m not trying to be unfair, just honest. I’ve eaten here before and it was fine, but something was clearly wrong with our order this time, and I feel a responsibility to let others know.

Haven’t been here since I left town. And this place is still as mesmerizing as before. The lady is extremely sweet and I’ve known her for the longest she’s a very kind-minded person.
Although, the price has gotten a little pricier but, they are very generous with the portion and quality of each food. The distinct taste that each dish encompass shares a lot of the flavor and uniqueness it holds. Which still left a special bud in my heart.
For me, I highly recommend this place for anyone craving authentic and savory Chinese food.
