For over a decade, consistent delicious food! Always prompt and pleasant when we go for pick-up! The garlic wings, curry fried rice, House Special LoMen, Sesame chicken, and Szechuan dumplings are incredible!

WHERE’S THE CHICKEN?
Tonight, I ordered two orders of sesame chicken. The chicken was reduced to a size of a pea. The glaze and sesame seeds out numbered the chicken. The chicken was mostly bread and very hard to chew.
Customer service was TERRIBLE. After calling the establishment, the man on the phone said the sesame chicken is suppose to be fried and that we cook the chicken fresh. The man said, “We will keep an eye on it” and was unwilling to address the situation. We didn’t ask for anything free but wanted something to be done about it.
The guy was very rude and eventually just hung up. Great Wall isn’t “great” at all.

Food was done quick and was absolutely delicious. Some of the best Chinese I’ve had in quite sometime to be honest! We usually go to pleasant valley but will definitely be coming back here for more. I got sautéed broccoli and veg friend rice vegetables were fresh and crisp my husband got the sweet and sour chicken combo and was also impresse with the quality chicken. Which we find hard to come by these days. Good prices as well, overall great good and we’ll be back.

Idk how this place has less than 5 stars. I’ve been eating at Great Wall for like, 20 years on/off and it is consistently great, fresh, and delicious. I grew up in Queens with tons of great Chinese food, but this is better. While living in Los Angeles, I literally dreamt about Great Wall’s tofu and broccoli. No one makes it like they do. It’s always my first meal when I come to Hyde Park. And omg those spring rolls

Pretty decent food, to be completely honest. There are certainly better Chinese restaurants in the area, but this place is definitely nothing to sneeze at. If you’re looking for classic American Chinese food in Hyde Park, I’d recommend Great Wall.

I called in an order, and the woman I spoke to was coughing her lungs out. I continued anyway, and when I picked up what I calculated to be a $24 order, the bill was over $36. Bad enough, but the quality is now fair at best. The prices posted online a year ago are tremendously higher. Some items like egg rolls and crispy duck have increased over 40%!! Never again for me.

Most people would be better off tossing their money out of the window and just skipping whichever meal they had planned on enjoying. For those of you looking for the texture of fried chicken that has been left in the refrigerator too long before being reheated, you’re in luck. Tough and chewy chicken seems to be their specialty.

I ordered food to pick up, there were no signs saying that you have to pay cash and I’ve gotten from them before and payed with my card but this time they told m I had to pay cash and wouldn’t let me pay with card. Their machine wasn’t broken they just wouldn’t let me pay with my card for no reason. I didn’t have enough cash and had to wait for someone else to bring me money. An absolute hassle and not worth the cold food I eventually got.
