I used to never see anyone going in there and one day I decided to try it and oh my goodness the food is absolutely delicious and even though I’ve never seen anybody go in there they STAY BUSY and you get your food in a timely manner. I give it a five-star atmosphere because once entered and you see the people in there the customers everyone is just so nice and patiently waiting even striking up conversations with each other except for one of my neighbors she called and gave them a hard way to go because she was charged for extra shrimp as if she didn’t know yes there is a cost for extras. There’s only two people that work in there the lady and I guess it may be her husband and they work very hard preparing orders. I’m sold on this business.

This low rating is Ridiculous! This is some of the best I’ve had I the city limits, and I mean that from ove the years.
I’m actually mad about the low rating, because I live close and avoided it.
And one day, I’m happy I changed my mind!
I consistently go for their wontons in hot sauce (so good), their Signipore Curry Noodles, Sum Gum Wonton Soup. They do the wonton/egg drop for $1 more (or so, ask them….).
This fool, saying, “I’ve been to Beijing now, so…”
Yeah, that’s like saying that pizza doesn’t taste like Rome’s pasta, or Brooklyn, NYC pizza! Also. Like. I’m sure their are bad places to eat in Beijing. ♂️❤️. I’m sure their Philly Cheesesteaks don’t taste like their from South St.. (Look, I’m a big boy, I know my food! )
And how are reviews from 8 years ago relevant??? How does this place have a 3.9.
This is awesome. The food is on point. I only have seen the super nice, quiet mannered lady w working the counter, and a gentleman behind her working in the kitchen with her. Whoever this person they complained about no longer works there. I’ve had nothing but pleasant experiences and it seems most people I see in there at the same.
These are nice people and they deserve to be told so.
The food is quality, fresh, I haven’t had anything in the menu I didn’t like. I love to cook, so I don’t eat out much. And even with that, I probably stopped here 2-3 times a month, which is a lot for me eating out.
I don’t even write a lot of reviews. But these folk deserve a 4.5 rating.
They deserve the success of their hard work and quality service.
And I rally love their cheesesteak egg rolls! Can’t forget about them!
Support this amazing local Baltimore restaurant! And after you have their amazing food leave a good review to boost them.

I’ve been ordering from here since 2002 and hands down, it is THE BEST Chinese food in MD!! And that’s saying something because I am very picky about food. The owners have been the same for all these years. I drive 20 minutes each way just to pick up dinner. The food is always fresh and piping hot! From their egg rolls and BBQ Spare Ribs, the Subgum Wanton Soup (Ground Pork filled Wantons, Pork strips, Chicken and Shrimp with a variety of vegetables in yummy chicken broth…fantastic on chilly nights), to my favorite sweet and savory Beef with Garlic Sauce, Sweet & Sour dishes, Shrimp in Lobster Sauce and very flavorful Fried Rice (several varieties) or ANY entree for that matter, everything is always SO delicious and they are very generous with their portions! Prices are competitive and reasonable. I love this place and hope they will be around for years to come! ❤

We ordered several items such as chicken with peanuts and were given Shrimp with peanuts. The meat from another meal was in a large slab and my wife didn’t even eat half of the portion she put on her plate before tossing all of it. My dish was okay, but I had little straw type things that got stuck in my teeth. All in all, it did have okay flavor but it was also our first time ordering from here and I believe will be our last. There are a lot of other places that have to be better.

And what got me interested in them they Advertised by eating their own food… Not being a racist or anything but it was my first time trying them out!!! and as a business mindset how can you know its good if people don”t try out their own product or anything their marketing…. Beware – Dragon lady at counter! Asian woman does not greet customers upon entering establishment. She begrudgingly took my order & proceeded 2 hand it to me in a like manner. There are so many wonderful Asian restaurants in Baltimore. Pick one that will appreciate your business. One that will treat you with the customer service that you deserve! Pick one that you will enjoy patronizing time & time again. Dragon lady you left me with a third degree burn and a bad taste in my mouth. Luckily, my favorite Asian place had the remedy. Its quite amazing how mere courtesy will not only improve the taste of the food but the soul of a restaurant!

I used to think it was an OK place, not better or worse than other takeaway Chinese restaurants. Then I spent a week in Beijing, China. I loved the food I got in Beijing (usually from a hole in the wall place) and was thinking I could never go back to any regular Chinese place here in America. As with all foreign eateries, they change the food to accommodate the American taste.
Then I went back to Great Taste and tried dishes other than my usual General Tso or chicken & broccoli. I was happy to find they cook much like the food I got in Beijing. I’m a happy customer.
The staff is not rude, just efficient with minimal talking. I understand this more since my China trip.

Rice was so dry. Sesame chicken tasted like orange and general so sauce combined. Atleast it was lunch special. Don’t waste your money food isn’t worth it.

Ordered 7 egg rolls and when i got back home I realized all of them were burnt. I then called and asked if they could replace my order because it was inedible, the lady over the phone refused to give me a new order, she said the best she could do was remake 2.
