I had an amazing brunch at The Great Maple in Newport Beach! The ribeye hash skillet was absolutely delicious — perfectly cooked and incredibly succulent. The shrimp and avocado stack had the perfect balance of sweet and spicy flavors that really stood out. The service was just as impressive — our waiter checked in several times to make sure we had everything we needed. Overall, a fantastic dining experience that I’d highly recommend to anyone visiting the area!

Cherry on top was the great maple postcard!

Came here for lunch on a weekday. I love a place with an outdoor patio, nice and shady, facing the water fountain too. The service was very good (slightly elevated dining) which you would expect at a restaurant at Fashion Island. I ordered the Lemon Shrimp Pasta it was good, but not something I would order again. My husband ordered the Traditional Biscuit Benedict and he said also wouldn’t order it again but it was well made. We both loved the doughnuts but 3 was WAY too much! Maybe there is an option to order just one, but I didn’t see it on the menu. It is very very sweet, and also very very delicious. We have our extra 2 to the valet and will be passing it forward in these situations again because it really made their day!

Came here hoping for a late breakfast, and fortunately they offer a few brunch items, even on a Tuesday! The Ribeye Hash was absolutely amazing and filling-everything i love in a hearty breakfast bowl. I have been here a couple times for dinner and its great! Service is top notch, and atmosphere is good .

Pretty nice spot. Ambience was chill. Nicely decorated with a variety of areas to sit; bar, patio etc. Food was very good albeit pricy. We had great service. I will particularly recommend the Stone Larger which I had with the hamburger and fries, very nice combination.

Nice open air dining for brunch today. Great service, nice outdoor patio and decent brunch.

Cinnamon coffee – good
Bacon donut – yum but not as soft as I would have liked
Cajun shrimp Benedict – pretty good but could have had more flavor/spice
Ribeye hash – hubby loved it
Bloody Mary – he said it was good

Place is located in shopping center on 2nd floor, We stayed at Vea Marriott across the street which is walking distance.

We wrapped up our day with great drinks and food at The Great Maple. I’ll admit, the maple name totally drew me in. 🙂 Dog friendly too!

This is a second trip to great maple. First one was in San Diego and I remember it being so so much better.
Beignets were solid
French toast was good huge portion
Pancakes…a friend said they were tasty. Some of them had blueberries but others did not so that was weird
Chicken and waffle. Kinda like chicken tenders on a waffle. My friend said they were tasty.
Chilaquiles this is where it feel apart. This was not only terrible for chilaquiles but maybe one of the worst dishes I have ever paid for. Now I remember them in San Diego as being yummy here wow fry tasteless bowl of soggy chips. Even the chorizo was tasteless. I don’t know what happened but it was like eating cardboard. If it was the only thing we had it would have been a 1 star rating.

Truly disappointed, the menu descriptions are enticing, but the food falls completely flat. Started with the bacon mac & cheese, tasty but average. For the mains, I ordered chicken and doughnuts while my husband ordered the ribeye hash. They both looked creative and delicious, but the doughnuts were dense, and the chicken lacked any flavor and were dry and overcooked. The hash had a weird vinaigrette that ruined the whole meal because it was shocking and out of place. We spent around $80, and it wasn’t worth it.

The food at Great Maple was very good, and we really enjoyed the flavors and presentation. Unfortunately, the service didn’t match the quality of the food. We constantly had to wait and often had to call the waiter just to get drinks. We also ordered French fries that never arrived, and we asked for extra dressing for the salad which also never came.

It was a bit disappointing because the food itself was excellent, but the service was not at par with what was being served. I hope they can improve the attentiveness of the staff because the restaurant definitely has great potential with the quality of their dishes.

I ordered meatloaf with mashed potato. The meatloaf was covered with barbecue sauce. The quality of food really changed from the last time I was here. Even my wife was disappointed with the fettuccine with shrimp which came very spicy and very little lemon sauce. She mentioned this to the server but the server offered no apology about the complaint. My meatloaf taste very bland except for the barbecue sauce. I finished half of my meal because it was very boring to eat. That should have at least tell them that the customer doesn’t like their food. We wrote a little note on their card to step up the quality of their food. But I don’t think we’ll be coming back again to eat here. It’s sad because we always eat here whenever we visited Newport. I guess we have to find another go to place to eat.
