I ordered my favorite foods- rangoons that were super fresh, very creamy and so light! I got an egg roll that was super fresh and delicious. I ordered mai fun (rice noodle stir fry) and it was wonderful but a far too large portion. My friend ordered an adventurous new dish. Both of us were very pleased with our meals. Service was very good and the place was very clean. Would totally eat here again.

This has become my go-to for Chinese food. I usually order for takeout, and the food is always hot and delicious. Today, I dined in. The lunch specials come with a jumbo sized, delicious egg roll and perfectly crispy cream cheese wonton. The portions are huge for a low price. All of this is under $12, which is very reasonable in today’s market. A great value, friendly staff, and delicious food. Winner!

Great Lakes is amazing! Our family ordered Friday night take-out, and I’m so thankful we ordered here. The food was delicious! We had egg rolls, egg drop soup, beef fried rice, vegetable fried rice, and sesame chicken, and all were phenomenal. And I sincerely appreciate how they truly treat you like family here. I would give 10 stars if I could 🙂 We will absolutely be ordering again, thank you!

Ordered the Cashew Chicken lunch platter and added an edd drop soup, and the food came out quickly.
This was, maybe, the best Chinese I’ve had in town yet. Everything felt fresh, the veggies were crisp and the chicken and sauce were flavorful, too! Bonus: they deliver to my place!

Best Chinese in grand rapids area just barely beating first wok. Lunch portions are very large and reasonably priced. General tso chicken and Mongolian beef both excellent, 5/5 stars.

Decided to try a new Chinese restaurant on Friday night for dinner. Dined at Great Lakes Chinese restaurant. So glad we did, it was quality Chinese food in a pleasant atmosphere with delightful staff.
My wife, especially enjoyed their hot tea, wonton soup, and house, special Mei Fun entrée – long thin rice noodles with cabbage, carrots, egg, shrimp, chicken, pork, beef, and a very light but flavorful sauce.
Moon, one of the owners, was our server. She was extremely pleasant and a joy to talk to. She really made the meal extra special.
And to top it off, not only do you get fortune cookies with your check, but you also get delicious almond cookies to round off your meal!

The BEST Chinese food in Grand Rapids and the only restaurant you can get ABC, Almond Boneless Chicken that is close to Detroit style. The crab cheese is fantastic and actually has crab and the egg rolls were also the best in town. The owners are welcoming and the lunch portions were large.

I came here while visiting my aunt and uncle. Everything was AMAZING. My son (11) decided to try the Egg Foo Young. It was very well made but he did not care for the sauce. They were so kind about it and made him different food instead. He ate like 3 egg rolls!
