This restaurant used to be my family and I’s go-to. It was so yummy and perfect, however the quality has dropped significantly. I ordered my usual, chicken tikka masala and it was horrible, I had to throw it away. I’m not sure if the order got mixed up, but it had no flavor. It was super sweet, and tasted more like tomato soup. Their rice was also soggy. Thinking about it is making my mouth water, not from how good it sounds, but rather from how disgusting it was! It’s been like this the last couple times I’ve tried to order from here. I have no doubt they can make terrific food, but it seems they choose to go the cheap route. I would pay $100 for a dish from their prime days, I miss it so much!! :/ ( also not a great place to dine in, they are very fast paced and want you out as fast as possible)

We were at a nearby restaurant while on holiday picking up some take out. We decided to stop in because we were curious what curry was like. (Never had it.) The gentlemen working I presume was the owner stepped out of the building while we looked over the menu. We did not find any small portions of curry on the menu so we decided to leave. On our way out the owner met us at the door. We explained that we only wanted to try a small portion and did not find anything in the menu that size. He then insisted he would cook it for us! He cooked us lamb curry (spicy- but only because we asked that it be spicy). SUPER wonderful service and SUPER nice guy. He argued with me when I tried paying him for the dish, and insisted he wasn’t going to charge us for it. “You’ll be back” he said. I cannot compare this curry to any other as it’s my first, but the FLAVOR of the curry in that long rice was delicious, and the heat was on point. He was correct- if we come back to SLC I will make it a point to come back to his restaurant. Great experience and great food. Cheers

One of my favorite Indian restaurants in Utah. I’ve been going since they first opened, and they’ve always been consistently good. I’ve ordered food from them many times, including for gatherings, and it’s always a hit. The employees and owners are incredibly kind, and the food is bursting with flavor and delicious spices. I highly recommend this place to anyone who loves great Indian food.

Absolutely amazing!
Great India is hands down my favorite Indian restaurant in the state so far. The food was full of flavor, perfectly spiced, and freshly made, every dish was delicious. The service was just as wonderful: friendly, attentive, and welcoming. It’s a small restaurant, not too busy when I went, which made it feel cozy and personal. They truly deserve more business: this place is a hidden gem and I can’t wait to go back!

Outstanding flavor! We had the Garlic Naan, Chicken Coconut Korma, Bengan Bhartha, Butter Chicken.

Got to try the Naan, one of the best I had.
Bengan Bhartha and Coconut Korma has a great balance of flavor and spices. First time trying and will get again.

Butter Chicken was good but the flavor profile was different from what I’m use to.

Overall service was good but felt a bit rushed to get an order placed. We were still looking at the menu and chatting about what to get.

It wasn’t the best Indian I’ve had, but I’ve never been to India (just had lots of Indian food in America). Ordered the chicken coconut korma and the chicken tandoori. The korma had a lot less meat than I expected. The tandoori had way more sauce than I’m used to for tandoori meat. They were very friendly! Clean restaurant for sure.

Cheesy naan for delicious late night comfort food win washed down with a perfectly crafted mango lassi without an excessive amount of sugar. Very polite service. Menu looks very authentic. Will be back soon to try the main dishes.

Loved their dishes! Mainly the tika masala – whether it’s chicken or shrimp or fish, it’s delicious. Their in-house garlic naan is delicious, and my favorite of all- Goat Curry-. don’t be afraid to get the medium level of spicy- it’s not bad, it’s just a light burn- which brings out the flavor more. Next time I’m getting small the dishes in medium level rather than mild.
