Last night I had the lucky chance to fill that void when you’re looking for a hot home-cooked meal. I cruised through Greenland and bingo. Right next to my go-to source for Cumbies coffee I found Great Bay Kitchen.
Hold on to your hat because this review is going to be lengthy…
When I first walked in I was greeted by Zack one of the chefs. He offered a warm welcome and shook my hand. Zack is a class act along with Mike the chef.
Sure, home cooked meals are trendy around the Stratham area. But oh boy, Great Bay Kitchen sure caught my attention. I was unsure what to orders so Zack suggested the chicken soup. Wow-we. It was great and the bread was fresh-baked.
But wait, that wasn’t enough. I needed some grit. So I ordered two cranberry chicken salad sandwiches. Quite the treat X 2.
While I was waiting I noticed they also stock plenty of fresh meals made right there at Great Bay Kitchen. Stuff looks good and don’t forget about the delicious desserts. Remember, they’re new in town and they’ve dug in deep in the fresh food customer service department.
They’re also gearing up gearing by offering holiday meals combined with a launch of the catered party platters. Everything is prepared with great care right there at Great Bay Kitchen in Greenland, NH.
Thank you Zack for a great dinner. I’ll be to stock up for more soon.

This is the third business I have observed at this location.
I needed a meal to go because my time was limited. The Chicken Braised in Cider looked appealing. Easy directions to prepare. It did taste good and left ⬅️ me wanting more.
Plenty of room inside. Premade meals and pastry items, prepared sandwiches , a drive through, online ordering and indoor dining available.
Friendly staff. Looks nice inside.
I hope to visit again!

Great Bay kitchen is amazing! The food is delicious and I love the Al pastor bowl, which is my favorite. All of the flavors are amazing and the pork is cooked so well. Everything I’ve had so far the menu has been amazing! Every time I go, staff are very friendly and accommodating and willing to help! Plus, they have really cool dry goods and beverages! They have tables if you want to eat in and a drive-through (order online first!) if you are short on time! Highly recommend!

My wife surprised me with a special dish today from Great Bay Kitchen. She brought home Coq au vin! I knew it was going to be delicious the second I popped the lid off. On came the aroma of red wine, herbs, chicken, bacon and pearl onions. After heating, the aroma was even more intoxicating. It brought back memories of when I was a young bachelor and would cook along with recorded episodes of Julia Child’s The French Chef. This is exactly how she would have done it! It was delicious. Tender chicken, rich wine sauce and a creamy polenta as well. It’s nice to know that in a world that is so rushed, a classic like this available to me and so readily and conveniently. Love this place! I just stopped by for breakfast. You can take away or eat in. The owner, Michael, is super welcoming and friendly. My husband and I each had fresh brewed organic Wicked Joe’s coffee. My husband had the GBK Breakfast Sandwich. It was two eggs on house-made herbed focaccia, Cheddar cheese and Cilantro Green Sauce. I had the GBK Breakfast Hand Pie- my new favorite! It was a flaky and buttery crust filled with eggs, bacon, and American cheese topped with everything bagel seasoning. Shelves and fridges are lined with locally made sauces, mixes, wine, peanut butter, take away suppers, and lots of other goodies. Stop by for breakfast, lunch, or dinner!

Just had the turkey blt on focaccia with bacon jam. Outstanding! Very generous portion with high quality products and delicious! One of my other favorites is the Al Pastor breakfast burrito. They also have a nice selection of take home meals. Give them a try!

LOVE the takeaway meals! Chicken empanadas are a big hit in our house. Any sandwich on the house-made focaccia is also a win. Would absolutely recommend, especially for folks with food sensitivities. I always recommend them when people are looking for gluten free options.
Also a big fan of their holiday food options. Thanksgiving was delicious and easy because I preordered most of our sides. Looking forward to Christmas meals!

Tried this place for the first time today! My husband and I loved both of our breakfast sandwiches. I got the classic on focaccia with harissa aioli which was delicious! My husband got the steak & cheese breakfast sandwich which he loved. Got a coffee cake for our daughter we all split which was warm and so tasty – we will definitely be back! Highly recommend you try we also grabbed Mexican street corn and chorizo to try this afternoon!

Everything I have gotten from Great Bay Kitchen has been just delicious! Recently we got the Paris Valentines Dinner (Steak at Poivre, spinach Gratin, Lyonnaise Potatoes, Crème Brulee and chocolate covered strawberries). It was by far the best steak I’ve ever had! Great Bay Kitchen is a gem that I will keep going back to regularly.

From the greeting as we walked in, to receiving our food, to walking out the door everything was top shelf and personable. Got the Al Pastor Bowl and it was fresh and incredibly flavorful. My wife got the turkey blt which she loved and brought half home. Definitely worth the 45 minute ride for us and we will ne back.
