This review is for a birthday party I threw for my husband on 05/31/25. I had every intention of writing a review sooner but time got away from me…
I had wanted to host a party for my husband’s 31st birthday and Great Awakening was recommended to me by a friend who was a local Westfield resident until recently. Having never been there, I reviewed their website and was pleased with their beer offerings as well as their menu. I reached out to Kim (co-owner) via email to discuss options as I wasn’t sure if I wanted to book their private room or not.
From the onset of planning, Kim was incredibly helpful and timely in answering all my questions around the logistics of the venue and their menu options. On the day of the event, she wasn’t present but the entire staff was welcoming, kind, and super accommodating to any needs or requests we had. The table for our reservation was set up and ready to go and I was able to come in early to add personal decorations.
The apps were delicious and the beers were tasty and fun! And the venue is so beautiful and spacious! There was plenty of room for the kids in our party to run around and play without disrupting other parties.
We had the most wonderful time celebrating my husband and will definitely be back again in the near future!

SO MANY DARK BEERS they were all delicious we got 2 flights and werent disappointed. We also enjoyed the pretzels and cheesy flatbread. The brewpub is huge and i wish we were local so we could hand here more often. We wanted to grab some cans to go but unfortunately they only had cans of their lighter stuff left. Cant wait to return!

4.13.25 What a great surprise. This was our 1st visit and we couldn’t believe how spacious this indoors is. They also had 6 TVs which is awesome. A wrap around bar area and many seats all around to enjoy the beer and sours. Great for dates, family events, groups, private parties, or just to pop in to catch a game. There is lots of free parking and they sell food. The strawberry and cherry chocolate cordial sours were out of this world.

I have visited Great Awakening before and my experience was exceptional, but I decided to visit it again before leaving a review. Luckily, my judgment stays the same.
This brewery occupies a big factory building. It consists of a huge indoor space and an outside beer garden for warmer months. There’s plenty of space for everyone and it can be sectioned for events. And judging by their website, there are many events happening there. The place has a full kitchen with multiple food choices. I did not try the food this time, but the previous time I was here I loved the food.
The beers are the jewel of this place. The beer selection is huge, but the best part is that they have a lot of barrel aged beers on tap. I personally love this because they are expensive in production, and the majority of breweries avoid these styles. You can see not only the beer tanks on site, but also the barrels where the magic happens. At this point in review I usually recommend a couple of beers, but this is not the case here: literally everything I got was exceptional and unique. Their barrel aged beers pack a punch of flavor and are really unique and memorable. You can order a flight of four to try multiple beers.
This is an awesome place for any occasion : a hangout spot, an event venue, a heaven for a beer craft enthusiast. I recommend this place to anyone. In my personal score after visiting several dozens of breweries, this one holds a second place. I will definitely be back.

Amazing food, along with great beer and staff, was very friendly and welcoming!!! They have outdoor seating and a downstairs for large groups. Beautiful brewery and terrific setup!! Well worth the drive!! We loved the barbecue, and the fish and chips were a great hit!!! A must try

Fantastic location and very spacious inside. Had great service and the beer selection was great. Had 2 flights and we enjoyed every beer we tried. So much so, we decided to take 3 four packs home with us. The food was also good and would highly recommend this brewery. The pretzel there is a delicious treat to have with beer . They also have outdoor seating now which is wonderful to be honest

I won’t drive 30 minutes for a beer just anywhere, but I’m happy to drive to GA. The food is so great and well-plated. Beers are excellent across the board, from old styles, to IPAs, to the big barreled ones. The space is awesome and no matter how busy it is you’ll never feel cramped.
