Very nice location in the heart of a super great little town to visit. Staff was friendly but the prices were pretty high compared to what you get. $14 for a basic grilled cheese with chips? $14 for a portabella sandwich with chips? Ummm…everything on the lunch menu is the basic $14 with upcharge for add ons . This is a self service cafe where you order at the CNN counter and serve yourself. Not a great value for the money.

Owners couldn’t be genuinely nicer. Food is fresh and better than most places and diners. We’ve had tuna, curried chicken, chicken bacon ranch, amaaaaaaazing to-die-for bread pudding, and smooth coffee- everything is great

I go to Mineral Point several times a year to teach at the Shake Rag Alley art center, and Gray Dog Deli is basically our canteen. Always good food, especially sandwiches, but service was always slow in the past. NOT ANY MORE: new owners have changed that, and it’s now good food plus quick and efficient service. They also do live music events. I can’t recommend this place enough…
