The food at Gravy was amazing — hearty, filling, and full of flavor! The portions are generous and definitely worth the money. I ordered an omelet with potatoes and had it with their salsa — so good! The French toast was incredible too. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a satisfying breakfast or brunch in Portland. I do recommend go early bc their will be a wait but well worth the wait list.

I came in with my husband and 2 daughters, we were seated immediately. The food is AMAZING we had steak & eggs, hash browns , fried potatoes, chocolate chip banana pancakes, breakfast sandwich, French toast & bacon ! Everything was perfect. The portion sizes are HUGE so be prepared. Each meal can easily feed 2 people. Also the prices are very reasonable for the portion size i was surprised. We are from Seattle/Tacoma area so hopefully can come back again and try more things .

One piece of French Toast is about three normal slices. I ordered 2 and took one home. So good!

I’ve been here other times for all the gravy covered stuff and it is all excellent. The hashbrowns should not be missed. Great coffee.

If you don’t like standing in lines come on a weekday.

Arrive early to avoid a line. Definitely worth the wait. Looking around me I saw many delicious looking sweet things being enjoyed. I enjoy a good gravy and that is what I had to have. I chose an omelet covered in gravy with a side biscuit and potatoes. Everything was delicious especially the gravy and their house spicy sauce. The biscuit was delightfully flaky.

This is my favorite place for country fried steak in Portland, OR. All the food is great! Best to come on a weekday, or be ready to wait on a weekend morning. The staff here is super friendly and welcoming. The hash browns are crispy and tender at the time. Great coffee. This will always be one of my go-to places when I have out of town visitors. My sister had an omelette and my niece had eggs, bacon and a short stack.

Expected an hour wait for a Sunday brunch and was at a table 51 min later. WORTH THE WAIT! Write your name down inside and don’t wander off too far! 😉

The biscuits & gravy were some of the best I’ve had (don’t tell my mom). That gravy… YUM! The hash browns were the size of a pancake so come hungry!

I’d wait every time that long if I lived there! 100% recommend!

We got here during a lull in the brunch rush and there was a crazy wait by the time we left! There is nowhere to wait inside, which is a bummer. We got a bacon breakfast sandwich, fried chicken gravy plate, and a Mediterranean potato skillet (no egg). The hot chocolate was OUTSTANDING and gone before I could take a picture. Our server was great. The portions on everything are large. The red sauce that is brought out in a bottle with the meals was incredible (mild, but packs huge flavor), and I made sure to take some to go.

Aptly named! Gravy was delicious & biscuits would get a hand shake from Paul Hollywood. Hash browns are perfect, more crispy than grainy gooey bs. French toast almost had a custard like middle. House potatoes were whatever, just smother it all with the gravy & call it a day. *not pictured house blend hot chocolate. Muted, but real flavors. Happy to try but wouldn’t get again.

We lucked out & got seated right away but they do have a list. Seems like usually a 10min wait at the least. Friendly, genuine, attentive service.

It was all so good! I love the old building that this restaurant is in. We were lucky and got the front winfow seating with a nice corner bench and street view. They have a good system in place where you are responsible for signing in, then wait outside until you are called. I like it, because no one is hoovering over you when you are enjoying your meal. There were an ample number of menu selections with lots of options. The service staff were friendly and attentive. We loved that the hashbrowns arrived in little skillets, and they were perfectly cooked. The sausage gravy was off the hook! SO GOOD! They close early, so plan accordingly, and remember that you may need to wait outside, Don’t forget your jacket or umbrella. It’s worth it.

I love this restaurant. It only serves breakfast and brunch and is open from 7 am to 2 pm. Parking can be difficult to find as this is a trendy neighborhood with lots of shops up and down Mississippi Ave. Also be prepared to WAIT to get in. This is a very popular place and the food is very tasty. Don’t expect to hold a normal conversation, cause this place is always packed and the noise level is loud. That being said, once you get in and seated, you get served fairly quick, and once your ordered is placed it only takes about 15 minutes to get your food in front of you. I heartily recommend the Chicken fried steak. Its really good. So yes, I recommend this place and give it 2 thumbs up. Its worth the wait to get in.
