We stopped in along our way to the mountains and boy are we glad!
This shop has all you need for breakfast, lunch and every household food item you need. From pork chops to a whole selection of Bobs Red Mill provisions.
The chef was slammed when we came in, but she was very kind when she delivered our meal and let us know how things happen and you get backed up sometimes.
We look forward to passing through here again:)

The Turkey, Bacon, Avocado (TaB) is soooo delicious!
Tried the Better Booch kombucha, Mango Delight & for mango lovers, it hit the spot. More tart than sweet, tho.
Grateful Roots also have lots of affordable snacks & a small selection of unique local gifts.

Came here today for some coffee and breakfast. A little bit out-of-the-way, but tucked into the beautiful community of Lester. One person was working and answer the phone when I called to ask if they have hot coffee. No need to ask – thank you. It was delicious and local.
The shop itself is small, but cozy and diverse. They really highlight a lot of local flavors and organize it well. They have everything from jams to bake goods to household items.
The one worker was incredibly kind. She was the only one working and on her phone while making my sandwich. It definitely wasn’t fast but they warn you. The breakfast sandwich was a little pricey at $10 but the bacon was thick and delicious and the bread tasted fresh and local.

Stopped by for a late lunch yesterday. Had Tuscan chicken paninis, potato salad and seasonal squash salad. Enjoyed all the food, especially the panini. The employees were very friendly and great service. There are a few tables inside and they brought our sandwiches over when they were ready. We were looking at a few lunch options and were glad we went to Grateful Roots.

Stopped here because of all of the rave reviews and I’m SO GLAD WE DID!! My husband and I decided to share the TAB and the Godfather, WOW!!! They were both so incredible, one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had!! Their market was so we’ll stocked with local goodies, this tomato jam is my new favorite on sandwiches and crackers . The staff and owner were so sweet and helpful, cannot wait to go back.

This is just a lovely place to walk into. You are always warmly greeted by either the owners or one of their awesome employees. I’ve been coming here on and off for around 6 months now and I’ve absolutely falling in love with it! I typically choose food that is brought in from the farms in the area. What can I say – it is absolutely delicious! As an example, I got a breakfast sandwich which was made with all local farm ingredients, including the bread and the spread which was made fresh by the owners that morning. I asked for all the veggies and the sandwich was so large I could barely get my mouth around it! It was truly one of the best breakfast sandwiches I have ever had! If I lived here all the time, I would shop here every week. And I would definitely eat here once a week! it’s a treasure you must try!
