We had a very nice birthday dinner. The restaurant is in a great location and the food was all prepared perfectly. The old fashioned cocktail was also very well made.
I am looking forward to my next trip.

I had the pleasure of dining at Grasing’s recently with some work colleagues. I’ve been in the Carmel area for the 27 years they’ve been in operation and known their reputation. This was the first time I’ve experienced it myself. The manager, Magdi, was kind, professional, personable, and attentive. The same goes for the servers Stephen and Andy. Even my welcome from the hostess, Samara was welcoming and professional. My group enjoyed a little something from every portion of the menu. The raw Ahi was amazing and fresh, same with the crispy Spanish octopus. The affogato was wonderful as well. I really don’t know if I’ve ever had a better meal.

I had photographed a wedding rehearsal party in their private room upstairs, and it was fantastic! Amazing natural light during the day, and the cozy atmosphere was just perfect for their party. The service was on point, and the food was delicious as well!

Delicious food for what we could eat… Finding bones in the fish special is a turn off! Then being told its normal and do nothing to fix it, not okay for a quality restaurant. The steak was cooked to temp, but very tough and hard to cut with the dual knife with the tendon that ran through it. We were super excited to eat here, but unfortunately wont be back.

Delicious! Tasty!! Well worth it. Excellent service! At least 2 people have recommended this restaurant when we got into Carmel.
We didn’t have a reservation, but we really wanted to try it since it was highly recommended. They gave us the option of sitting at the bar area which had some tables. The plus in sitting at the bar area is that you can order from their regular menu and the bar menu. I ordered the Sole Menuire and hubby ordered the Grilled bistro rib eye steak, 10oz which included French fries and salad. His steak was from the bar menu. We had also ordered the octopus as the starter and that was very tasty. The service was excellent! I highly recommend this restaurant and making reservations prior to going. But if you don’t and don’t mind, the bar seating was great too.

This restaurant is absolutely overrated and we would never come again.

The food is average at best. The calamari appetizer is filled with friend onion slice and very few calamari. I would say 75/25. The pasta of the day was just red sauce meat pasta. Seafood pasta was average as well

We heard the panna cotta here was great so we decided to to give it a try. It turns out to be the worst panna cotta I’ve ever had. Their strawberry panna cotta is just plain yogurt with strawberry sauce and dried strawberries. This is NOT how a panna cotta should taste.

Lastly, we’re very disappointed at their service. The restaurant decided to open the doors which cause a lot of flies to come in the restaurant. When we told the servers about this issue. They just said oh yeah it’s that time of the day. We even had a fly that landed on our table. The female waitress just swept it away without saying anything. She acted as if nothing happened. This isn’t the service I would expect from any decent restaurant.

If you’re looking for excellent service with exceptional food, STAY AWAY! This isn’t the place for you!

We’ve eaten here several times and always had a fantastic experience. The food was on point, and the accommodations they showed our dogs were over the top. We had the sand pasta, special, and the quail salad, and everything tasted amazing. Thank you for such excellent food and service!

It’s a highly rated restaurant in the area and it deserves it. It’s situated at the center of town and its a good little date night spot. We ordered ribeyes for the both of us. For 80 dollars a ribeye its pretty ok. Not the best I’ve had. Actually, made better steaks at home with prime cuts and not a 80 dollar hole in my pocket. Also had better steaks at a cheaper price point, but being in them middle of a gorgeous town gives them the luxury of overcharging. We also ordered some brussel sprouts, which were pretty good and they fill the plate full of the brussel sprouts. Salad is good and balanced. Mashed potato is ok. Itll fill you up and the flavor is good, but not the texture I look for. Its a little over-mixed which makes the texture on the gummier side. Service was great. Reserve ahead of time and you will be seated promptly when you get there. Happy birthday cake was given to my girlfriend and was on the house. Cake was pretty good. Recommend stopping by and giving it a try.

Our early Father’s Day lunch celebration at Grasing’s went amazingly well and we all left happy and satisfied! From the ambience to the food and the service, we love them all!

We had our puppy with us so we were on the look for a dog friendly restaurant. Grasing’s is a few block away from the busy Main Street of downtown Carmel. It looks quaint and cottage-like from the outside. The server quickly checked us in and led us to our table in the cute patio behind the restaurant.

There are around 5-6 tables at most at the patio. I highly recommend you make a reservation first before you come as tables are filled fast within 10-15 minutes of our arrival (around 12:15pm on a Saturday).

We love that the patio is tucked away in a cute alley who gives us privacy. Our server was so attentive. They prompt brought us water and menu. And water and menu for my puppy as well! There are dog beds of all sizes you may use to make your puppy as comfortable as possible.

We were so pleased with how attentive our server was. When we asked him to recommend a bottle of wine for us, he took time to ask about our preferences and helped us picked out the best bottle for our taste. He was so patient too to let us taste 2-3 types of wines before we decided which one we liked the best.

The food was of generous portion. We particularly enjoyed the crab cakes. We recently came back from Baltimore, Maryland, where crab cakes were well known. Grasing’s crab cakes are very comparable with what Baltimore has to offer.

Other dishes were tasty and freshly made. We all licked our plates clean

Overall, highly recommend Grasing’s, especially if you have your fur baby with you!
