The waitstaff here HUSTLES. I think we had 3 different women come up to us asking if we needed anything at the counter. Hot coffee, hot fresh delicious breakfast. We got biscuits and gravy. The serving was enormous I’m not complaining! This is a locals spot for sure. If you’re visiting Crystal river, come here for breakfast. Everyone was super friendly.

Stopped in Grannies after we went on our morning manatee swim. Was so disappointed that I live 2 hrs away from this PERFECT local country food restuarant. Maybe its a good thing though because I would be in eating on the regular. Service was great, food was delicious, large portions, prices were right and it was clean. My friend ordered rhe catfish and I got the fried pork chops. It was way more than we could eat so we got to take some home. The catfish was not fatty or muddy tastin, filets as big as my lower arm lol. All the sides were cooked and tasted yummy to. Wish I had room for dessert because the bread pudding sure sounded good. I will be recommending this little place anytime I recommend the mantee swim to visitors. Hopefully I will get back again some day too!

Grannies has been around for as long as I can remember. Ever since I was very young. It has always been a great mom and pop breakfast destination. Their food is always amazing and made very well, you always get great service, and the prices are unbeatable. You always get a nice sized plate. I never leave here feeling hungry. Country fried steak and eggs is usually my go to dish.

Great little country restaurant. If you don’t like right spaces this one may not be for you but YOU will be missing out. Had breakfast, biscuits and gravy, wow was it huge with only half an order! Gravy was great. Would recommend to anyone in the area.
