Great food and great service! The valley is lucky to have this restaurant. Initially it seemed like the prices were high but the portions are huge. I got the half breakfast burrito and it was so large that I thought they made a mistake. According to our waitress, the full burrito is massive and “Grandma doesn’t let people go hungry” LOL. The menu doesn’t have a kids section, but kids meals are a lower price ($8 for my son’s pancake with sausage and toast). There were also many items on the specials board. This is a no frills country diner that does everything well and will leave you full and happy.

My boyfriend and I had decided to take a trip from the Central Valley to Burney CA, after a very long drive we needed eat something. Once we had service and found some options we settled on Grandmas Kitchen, needles to say we are so glad we did. Sarah was our server, she was so kind and attentive. Not only was she a great server but she also recommended some activities for us to do around the area. Ma was the cook and she did a great job!! The portions are perfect and the food was delicious, just what we needed after a long drive. The next time we are in the area we will definitely be coming back!

Oh my goodness!! I loved loved loved this place. From the moment I walked I knew! the greeting to the waitress was friendly and quick with the menu we were able to choose our own seating it smelled so good in their my stomach growled. There were so many great things on the menu it was hard for me to choose I did order a mushroom Swiss burger and it was bomb with a lot of fries but they had many options to choose from for a side. My companion chose chicken fried steak and it looked delicious & the platter was big. The decorah with what I would expect it to be and made me feel really comfortable and homie from the rocking chair with a handmade crocheted Afghan to the giant stuffed bear. I really wonder how long he’s been there? I recommend anybody passing through stop here to eat oh and really clean bathrooms as well.

I got the Ortega burger, medium rare, and it was like a Smashburger, Absolutely fabulous. And the fries and fry sauce were delicious. True hamburgers that were amazing, not over cooked, and juicy. We went back the next day and got another and they were the same, delicious! So it is consistent. A bit pricey but was worth it!

Very glad i stumbled upon this amazing restaurant. I’ve traveled all over this great country and the hospitality I received here was better than any in all my travels. Food was perfect and the waitress truly went out of her way to take care of us. Must stop if you are near by.

Opens at 6 with a full breakfast menu which is great if you have early morning activities like fishing. Staff is super nice and attentive. They even packed us a lunch for while we were fishing later. Maps needs to tell you where it is as the signage is minimal – but a gem worth finding
