Very interesting place, the flavors of this place is far from traditional Mexican food. The guy there would not let us know where or what style of food this is but it’s not your traditional Mexican food.
Food was decent plenty of room to set, the guy is the founders son, not very personable nor does he share any information of their history, which we were very interested in the style of cooking that he would not share sad!
Food was decent though can I recommend this place, not sure has a very different style of Mexican food I’m guessing very southern Mexico style which I’m not used to.
Food was not great, but it wasn’t bad. I’m glad we stopped just to experience it.

The owner does EVERYTHING from welcoming and seating you to preparing and serving your meal; with this in my mind, you need to be patient, but the food is SO worth the wait! Every aspect of our meals was so fresh and delicious. You can hear him blending every sauce and chopping fresh veggies. The nachos were amazing, my torta somehow remained crisp to the end, my wife’s red enchiladas were to die for and my son’s fish burrito was much bigger than expected and came with a habanero sauce that somehow was tangy and not too spicy. The chef/ owner takes a lot of pride with his dishes and you can taste the love for his craft come through. This restaurant is a must visit every time we come to Walla Walla.

The food is very authentic. Cozy and pleasant small dining area, semi open kitchen, incredibly clean front and back of house. Always immaculate bathrooms.

This is the real deal. You’re not going to get a deep fried chimichanga. You *will* get things that come from the heart of Mexico (example, pork in pipian, so delicate and complex that you have to savor it) and if you’re looking for quality and a disciplined approach to Mexican food, this is the place.

It’s not fast food, and sometimes it’s a tiny bit of a wait. It’s worth it, especially since it’s a dining experience.

Try it, and please ask the wonderful owner about how he selected these dishes. You’ll learn things about Mexico and the cuisine that isn’t represented in media, or most modern Mexican restaurants.

I’ve lived in Mexico and dined at some of the highest quality restaurants in about 15 states down there. This place really scratches an itch when you want food that feels good for your body, when most Mexican places leave ya feeling bloated.

Carne asada wasn’t super flavorful but was tender and delicious. Their pork was phenomenal! Try it. Totally worth the price.

The owners moved to Walla Walla from Mexico City and are so sweet. Their food is delicious. We sat outside with our dogs who unfortunately had 3 seconds of misbehavior that resulted in our drinks falling on our food and our laps. The owners could not have been more kind and understanding. They quickly helped us clean up and replaced our food. They told us to laugh about it and be sure to come back. We will!

This is something far beyond every other Mexican restaurant in the area. The dishes span the wide range of cuisine in Mexico and offer a great alternative to the more common northern Mexican cuisine. The recipes are all a reflection of the family that serves them. Service is not only outstanding but is evident of the care and pride behind every tasty dish on the menu.

Freshly prepared with wholesome ingredients literally made by Abuelita, as pictured. Wonderful selections of not so typical choices. Large portions! Good value. The guacamole is creamy and delicious! The mild green tomatillo salsa is absolutely wonderful! Home made unique coarse ground tortilla chips.

Just passing through, and I wish I could have tried More than one item.

Do not dine here if you only want to grab some fast food – it’ll take some time since it’s family-owned and everything is made fresh. But – the patience is definitely worth waiting. The food was beyond amazing and the flavor remains in your mouth long after the meal.
The owner and his mother (the Grandma) takes care of the majority cooking and serving, both are extremely nice people. It’s also a veteran-owned business, with extremely reasonable price. Highly recommend it.
