We had a fantastic experience at Grand Old West in Kremmling!
The food was outstanding —flavorful, and cooked exactly right. You can tell they all take pride in what comes out of the kitchen. Everything we ordered was spot-on and left us already looking forward to stopping in her again.
The atmosphere is just as impressive. It has that welcoming, small-town Western charm that makes you feel comfortable walk in. It’s a cafe that is clean and not overwhelming — the kind of place where you can relax, enjoy great food, and have a good conversation.
What truly made the experience exceptional, though, was the service — especially Jordan. Jordan was friendly, attentive, and genuinely cared that we had a great experience. Drinks stayed full, food came out smoothly, and we felt well taken care of the entire time. That level of service makes all the difference, and Jordan absolutely delivered.
Grand Old West is doing it right — great food, great atmosphere, and outstanding service. We’ll definitely be back!

We’re in Colorado for a wedding and were driving from Steamboat Springs to Denver. This was the perfect stop. Peyton was attentive and friendly. She and her fiance bought the restaurant from his parents a few years ago. The French Dip was perfect with the Western fries. We saw couples and groups of hunters. The food came out hot and with generous portions. It was busy but everyone was served efficiently. This is definitely worth the stop.

For a small town we were skeptical, but pleasantly surprised. The food was outstanding, the service was excellent. Highly recommended!! If there was one thing they could improve on would be to carry some local craft beers. I only wish we could stay longer to try other items on the menu.

Love this. My family of 7 went in for a late lunch and we loved the big round tables, kid portions, friendly service, clean dining room and bathrooms.
Only thing to improve would be to put a baby changing station in the bathrooms, otherwise this place would he perfect. Thank you!

This place we can heartily recommend! Come in and get an all- Colorado menue and the fitting style! We tried the recommended three pork sandwich and the burger deluxe version. As you see on pic 2: nothing left on the plate. A cosy place to stop for lunch with great service and feel- home already feeling. Thank you!

Was in the area to pick up some supplies and decided to try this location for lunch. The food prices were very reasonable and the quality was pretty good. I had the Southwest salad and the chili. I would be happy with either one again. Service was fast and friendly and the place was a bit rustic but seemed in good shape overall and was clean.

Went for dinner seemed to be a nice friendly atmosphere. But ordered my meal and thsn eas forgotten. Until I got my salad and meal all at the same time. Server commented how bad they were and went back to the bar to chat and carry on with friends. Food was good service was not.

This place was good in a pinch, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to visit. The chicken fried steak looked amazing when served, but it was a little bland. They were out of loaded baked potatoes, so I settled for the steak fries (actually potato wedges), and they were the best part of the meal. The Texas toast was crisp, but had nothing on it so was just dry and tasteless. My wife enjoyed her garlic shrimp, and my daughters said their food was just ok. We spent about $70 before tip, so a little pricey for the quality of food.

Overall the place is decent! As I was traveling from Kremling to the hot springs, the building was easy to see. Giant sign that says restaurant. Going inside it is very country and I absolutely love it. I was recommended this place for the bison berger, But they were out and therefore I decided to go with a ribeye steak.
The cut was very tender and they got the temperature perfect, not overseasoned, lovely cut, but I will admit there was a LOT of fat on the cut. Helps with flavor and made it melt, but not half bad. The mashed potatoes with gravy were however a bit less than ideal for me – they were very bland in comparison. The gravy did go well with Texas toast. I was also disappointed because I requested the extra garlic shrimp with the steak, but was never brought any… have no way to tell if I was charged for it since on receipt it just says rebeye and market price on the menu… hence the 3 stars on food – mash potatoes and communication being hits.
The cookies and cream pie was a lovely end to the meal – admittedly though that more than half was whipped cream, but I am a fan and won’t turn that down. Plus 1 star for the food.
As for the ping on service, my water went empty halfway through and no refill was offered, but the staff were very happily chatting amongst themselves at the bar. Hence 4 stars – we’ve all been there, but I was not thrilled.
Overall would come back if I am coming through town.
