The food was delicious. I only docked a star because of the price of the tacos. I got the quesabirria con consome(don’t think I spelled that right) they were greasy but crisp and cheesy and had a lot of flavor. They serve chips, salsa, and beans to every table. The salsa was very mild. Little to no spice, but they definitely made up for that with the salsa that they serve with the food. I regretted underestimating the spice! My partner got the sopes and seemed to really enjoy them. He did say they were around the same price as the street tacos but much more filling for the price. I also got a mojito i thoroughly enjoyed. It was just strong enough and very refreshing.

My go to favorite taco spot. Fish and Carne Asada all day! Green salsa is to die for! Surprisingly the best huevos rancheros I’ve ever had. Must try!!!

Currently scarfing down our outstanding food! I ordered 4 sopes with a side of beans and rice! The Flavor is incredible!
They are so accommodating! My friend had to make some adjustments to her order and they did beyond amazing! Service is incredible, kind, and is very attentive to checking on how we are doing and making sure we are enjoying our food and it we need anything else!

I usually enjoy coming to Monarca — their food is normally very good. However, this time I was really disappointed. The birria had no flavor at all. My husband, who is a chef, said the meat had absolutely no taste. He even joked that the first time he ever tried to make birria, it wasn’t real birria — but it still had more flavor than what we were served today.
I mentioned it to the person who served us, but she basically said there was nothing she could do because “that’s how they make it.” It felt like we were just out of luck and they didn’t care to fix it. Very disappointing experience this time. The waitress we had to flag down because she never came to check on how are food was.

First time here and the food was good. The salsa was a little watery for me but the beans was great! We got Carne Asada and Polo Asada. My chicken was better than the steak. Steak was missing a flame tast and was probably cooked on a flat top. Overall we had a good time and food was good.

Prices are too high for what you’re getting. Food is good but, it varies on quality, portions and flavor. Service also varies depending on who you get. It’s obvious there is no proper training or real menu knowledge from certain servers. Restaurant is clean but the restrooms can be suspect at times and there is only one. I understand today’s restaurant industry but, just like other restaurants, they’d be fools to charge less because the public will pay. UGH!

The food is amazing, from the pollo asado, to pozole, to tortas, to burritos. Everything in the menu. And the homemade tortillas are always delicious. Would definitely recommend it.

First time here and the place is clean and inviting should be given its fairly new. They give you chips, salsa and beans when you are seated. The menu is simple and not overwhelming. I ordered 3 sopas with asada meat and a side of rice. Also wanted to try the flan and it was good too. Food was delicious and service is fast and friendly. Will go again or do drive thru.
