Tried this new restaurant in the old House of Dragon space in Pearl City since my friend didnt eat all day and wanted Chinese food. Was craving noodles so figure get a Won Ton Mein or something here.

Place was crowded on an early Saturday evening due to a big party but we were seated right away. Place is renovated and new owners. Waitress upsold me on a Wor Wonton Mein (more vegetables) which was a good choice.

Food came out relatively quickly, good portions and hit the spot. Friend ordered the house fried rice which was a bit salty and the Kung Pao chicken which wasnt spicy at all. The jasmine tea was also just straight hot water also. But my Wor Wonton Mein was excellent…. Guess its hard to mess up a noodle dish
3 stars…. Probably if it wasnt so busy things would be better.

Looks good in pictures, but none of the vegetables were cooked long enough. We had to pop it in a pan and saute it a bit longer because they were basically raw. The kung pao shrimp also had very little shrimp for an $18 dollar dish (only 6, not exaggerating). The noodles in the chow mein were very dry as well. Ended up spending $40 for the two dishes. Fairly disappointing overall, Dine at your own discretion.

Today I got to try their sparagus with garlic sauce without rice as I wanted to eat something healthy. I have found that you can eat it with the rice or without it. The seasoning is good either way. Moreover, the server is very friendly and helpful.

IT’S BACK!! My childhood Chinese restaurant!!
“THE GRAND CHINESE RESTAURANT”..previously “THE HOUSE OF DRAGON”…
Wow!!
Ok…I have been looking for the last couple years for the familiar and great tasting and not disappointing Chinese food since this placed shut down…None have the greatness. I’m 55years old….This place fortunately has the same cook under different Owner and Management. Clean restrooms even..The place is immaculate, clean, modern, organized, and the food is so damn good…all my favorites without disappointing. It’s back!!

This restaurant was recommended by a friend but found out some of their dishes were bland , except for the Shrimp w/walnuts. Cold Ginger Chicken was soggy , not firm and buried under the green onion ginger sauce … ordered Chow Fun w/ vegetables in black bean sauce , did not even taste like it was prepared in black bean sauce … but rice was good !!! … They certainly have a problem with
“ flies “ , disrupted our dining experience …
Note : Svc. presented check and recommended if paying with CCD , tip should be by “ cash “ ? ? ?

We picked up dinner tonight and everyone was happy. That’s a miracle, considering my MIL (who used to run a restaurant) always finds something to critique. Not this time.

Crispy Gau Gee Mein, Minute Chicken Cake Noodle and Beef Broccoli were all ono. As we were picking up dinner, noticed rice cake at the register so of course, we grabbed a few. Flavor took me back to the Manapua Man days of my childhood. Portions were good size and although a few bucks more per dish than the Chinese restaurant closer to our home, it was well worth it.

Called ahead to order and our food was ready on time. Clean restaurant and the lady helping us was friendly and personable. Worth the drive (we live in Wahiawa). We’ll be back.

Located behind Don Quixote & H-Mart, this fairly new Chinese restaurant serves mainly Chinese American dishes. We tried the 3-ingredient chow mein and the House Special Fried Rice (it looked like every table ordered one of this). Both were decent, though not great. The fried rice was riddled with cha-sao, shrimps and chicken strips and the serving was large. The prices here are very reasonable for the quality/quantity you get it here.

Located in the house of dragon space. A nice place that has been remodeled. Place is very clean. Ordered the lunch plate. Rice, wonton, char siu, and sweet and sour spare ribs. Good flavor, good portions. A large menu of selections to choose from . Pearl City newest Chinese restaurant. Fast and friendly service. Go check them out.

We decided to try this new Chinese restaurant. The restaurant is clean, and the food delicious. Our server though was unpleasant and hinged on being rude. He wasn’t just having a bad day (which can be forgiven as we all have them). He acted like we were a burden to him. He was condescending, cold and abrupt. He spoke extra good English, so it wasn’t a cultural misunderstanding. We eat out to relax from a busy day and enjoy not having to cook. We decided to reciprocate his rudeness with kindness. I think local folks enjoy, at the least, pleasant service.
( I usually don’t give bad reviews about servers, but this restaurant has so much potential to be great, I hope that they will address this fellow who is the “rotten apple” in the equation.) The other fellow waiting tables was very nice and made us feel appreciated as a customer as did the other staff. But this guy (didn’t get a name, but he had a round face) is sadly, the one reason we will never be returning to this restaurant.
