We had a delicious meal (Steak tips dinner and the Mac & Cheese) and found the portions to be very good for the price. Even the coffee was delicious! The servers were all very pleasant and attentive, and the atmosphere was perfect. We highly recommend!

We had a great experience at Grainne O’Malley‘s Tavern. The bartender was incredibly friendly and helpful. Ordered a steak tips and a roasted beet salad. Loved both of them. The overall atmosphere was perfect. Certainly a popular location. But not so loud that you couldn’t hear yourself think. Would definitely go back.

Date night with my husband. The food was amazing, but definitely too filling. We each had a main course, my bangers and mash (pictured here), his fish and chips (not-pictured) and sodas so would definitely take the large, filling portions into consideration in case you wanted to order appetizer or dessert. Overall, amazing food and service, and love the different seating/lighting options they have. We used to sit outside during the warmer days, but it’s equally as wholesome and family-friendly inside.

I worked in the area last night and I walked in around the time when the kitchen closed. I hadn’t eaten all day and I still had 9 hours left on an 18 hour shift. The bartender still let me put an order in and took care of me. I know it’s frustrating for a kitchen when ppl start throwing orders in when they’re cleaning up. Just shows they really care for people. Even the hostess came to check on me. You can tell they’re great ppl from the staff to the owners. I really appreciated it. Btw, the Buffalo chicken sliders were great too. God bless

Loved this tavern. Proper Irish pub in the heart of Brookline. They get extra points for having a reasonable price point for food and drink even though they’re in Brookline. It’s definitely a wallet friendly place. The interior space is well done and there’s a charm to this place. Will definitely be back.

Shout out to the bald dude who works here, we walked in when it was half-empty on Saturday night, moved a table two feet to put two tables together (no one at the front to help us out so we did it ourselves). The guy comes over and angrily tells us “don’t move our stuff around without telling us, this is our house, I don’t come into your house and move your things around”. No worries guy, we’ll just go somewhere else.

Service was truly so amazing we actually had 3 servers. The Shepard pie is freaking amazing, the atmosphere was pleasant. Walking distance from the hotel and located in a great area. Highly recommended

If you are going to change your policy to only 25+ years old, you have to advertise it somewhere. It’s weird to not state it publicly, and then have someone come in to a bar, assuming they can be served cause they’re over 21, and then deny them based off of a policy that you haven’t made anyone aware of. Also, it’s weird to change your policy based off of something that’s happened at another bar. Definitely disappointing and not going to be beneficial in the long run in a town like Brookline. Restricting one of the only bars in town for such a large demographic of the people who live here is dumb. My friends and I went in October, and were served. The last post made by the business was in November, so maybe let people know that they can’t drink here even if they’re of the legal drinking age.

Did not enjoy my time here. Sat at the bar with a date, we ordered food, she had one drink and I had two. Staff rushed us to leave multiple times while I was half way through my second drink. We were there for maybe just over an hour total. I guess as soon as she switched to water they wanted to replace her with someone who was drinking. I can understand the logic behind that, but the way it was done was tactless and relentless and made us both feel profoundly unwelcome. Sorry I didn’t chug my second beer so you could keep the customers cycling. Won’t happen again because I will not be returning.

We stayed a couple nights in the area and came here the first night for dinner. Great beer selection and awesome food! The bangers and mash was delicious. My wife had the steak tips, which was also very good. The waiter was very attentive and friendly as well.
