The server said they were known for their biscuits. The biscuit & gravy were extremely salty. We tasted just the gravy to see if it was that and it was a little salty and then we tasted just the biscuit and it was extremely salty. Could not eat much of it. When we were done it too way too long for our bill to come.
The deviled eggs were good and the almond cake was really good. Also got a local brew lattlr which was good. But definitely not coming back for biscuits, if we do come back.
Also, there is no actual bakery.
I also tried the seasonal BLT on brioche with chive aioli – made with farmers market tomatoes – & it was the perfect partner to those hashbrowns. Patio seating, a mimosa, & fast, friendly service sealed the deal. A+ all around.
The food was delicious, definitely recommend. As a breakfast spot it’s definitely worth it.
I didn’t have any trouble parking on site, but I can see why it might be challenging on the weekends. I’ll definitely be back.
A friend of mine ate here yesterday and wanted to go back today to try a biscuit sandwich. After driving from Cumming, I felt obliged to join him for the last half mile since it’s right around the corner. I’m glad I did.
I had the breakfast burrito with a side biscuit and my buddy had an egg/cheese biscuit with a side of bacon. Everything was fresh, hot and delicious.
I read the low reviews and will agree with the following: Parking is tough, it’s a small restaurant and it is pricey. I will gladly plan ahead and pay extra for such a great meal.
The inside of the restaurant is cute and homey. I live that the menu is simple. We didn’t wait more than 5 minutes to order and our waiter Austin was very nice. I didn’t feel overwhelmed making a choice.
I noticed their specialty deviled eggs promotion and decided to give them a try. They were sweet and savory not too much seasoning. I opted for the Bruce’s plate which includes 3 eggs cooked how you want, a chicken sausage link, 2 slices of bacon fruit and a biscuit. They also have create your own bowls with which you can create a base of grits hashbrowns or a sandwich then shoose your toppings. My husband got the breakfast burrito and the jalepeno cheese comes on the side. Thanks goodness because it is spicy! I loved it but my husband doesn’t like too much spice so it’s good that you’re able to put it on at your own leisure.
My Bruce’s plate looked good the bacon was very flavorful and a little sweet. The biscuit was soft and buttery! and the jam tasted like orange sweet and tart. The chicken sausage was ok lit has a little spice to it. The eggs were cooked to perfection over medium. I was a little disappointed with the seasonal fruit as it was just and orange and I was expecting a small Medely so I would suggest asking what the current seasonal fruit is.
My husbands breakfast burrito was good. It had eggs bacon and hashbrowns inside. they also have a green salsa verde that he tried with the burrito that enhanced the flavor as well.
My only hiccup was that a small piece of what appeared to be dog hair was on one of my eggs but Austin saved the day he immediately took the food away and deeply apologized. He had the food remade in less than 5 minutes brand new eggs and all!
I feel the price was fair for the quality of the food. When the bill came out Austin had comped the meal for me!!!!I was just appreciative that they had made my entire meal over without giving me a hard time. The biscuit was my favorite out of everything and yes BETTER THAN POPEYES. But we needed a nap after all that food! We will definitely be coming back!!!!!!
He thinks he’s had the best biscuit in his life. In Nashville. A place that was positioned by locals and THE place for biscuits… But now he is wrong as Roswell now holds that position in his mind.
In the pantheon of southern biscuits (and breakfast), Gracious Plenty takes top spot in THE best biscuit on the planet. And I can’t figure out what they do…maybe it’s a mix of pixie dust, some unicorn dust or just people who care about their craft on making the most delicious breakfast that your soul can take. It’s that good.
But never turn your eye on the other offerings at this southern gem hidden deep in Roswell. The breakfast bowls look amazing, the burgers are slap worthy and the lunch menu looks impressive. The staff is incredible and watching the cooks from my seat shows you the care they take with every hot plate delivered.
If you can make it here to validate my review, get here early for the lines do form at peak times. Order my favorite – biscuit, friend egg and pimento cheese. Your soul with thank you in the first bite. And you can prove your own friend wrong as well…when they display that satisfied visage after taking the first bite.
