We had to move because there was a table of screaming children on one side. Our server was nice, not very attentive though and when our food arrived there was a long hair on the blueberry muffin. I pointed it out and she took the plate to the kitchen to have them grill a new one, I’m pretty sure she just took the hair off the muffin and brought it back since she returned super quickly.

The food was great. My wife and I got the meatloaf meal. Big portion sizes. Great flavor. I don’t like seafood, and the last time I was here, the smell was horrible. You could smell it before even entering the building. This time, it wasn’t bad. Could still smell it but wasn’t overpowering.

We celebrated my stepfather’s 70th birthday there a few weeks ago. We had a great time except the air conditioning stopped working, and it was extremely hot with a hundred-plus guests!

Made in house cheese sticks where breaded with a batter and prepare on order. Haddock sandwich was the length of plate (a fillet) and the haddock chowder was tasty and very filling. A great Tuesday Special! No room for the wide variety of luscious looking items.

What we ordered was nothing special in flavors. But they do have various selections of dessert items.

We stopped on our way out of Waterville and it was the perfect end to our ME visit. Our server Tanya was super sweet and helpful during a very busy Sunday morning. We had the Capital, the Mexican omelette, and a side of crispy bacon and both were perfectly done. So much good food! On the way out we saw it……the pastry case. Holy guacamole, the selection was amazing; so amazing that we bought two of 4 different items to bring home to family to taste. Would definitely recommend if you’re in the area.

My friend and I split an order of fried cheese curds with ranch dressing. My expectations were low, but they were flavorful, crispy, and perfect. I had a BLT on wheat, toasted instead of grilled, and that, too, was really good. The fries weren’t greasy, were soft on the middle, and good crunch on the outside. My friend enjoyed the fried haddock sandwich (minus the bun) and the piece of fish was twice the size needed for a sandwich! She let me try the onion rings she ordered and they were also good.

Enjoyed this spontaneous stop for dinner. Had the maple fried chicken with homemade applesauce. It was really good! The applesauce could’ve been dessert (so yummy)! I was so full, so no room to try any baked goods or pies but the choices looked enticing!

So I took my dad and his gf out for lunch, thinking this Governor’s had to be just as good as Bangor and Ellsworth. I would have to say, my husband and I, and my guests were very disappointed !! We were seated in a corner booth, which was nice. Then we waited for our waitress, about 10 minutes later she came and took our order for our drinks. She was very prompt with those. Then we were given our menu, so we all kinda knew what we wanted. My guests had the special of the day, my hubby ordered the Philly sub and I the BLT. We waited for our waitress, for 20 minutes to take our order! I figured, ok, maybe she was busy with another table, or she is new. We placed our order, and waited for our food. I noticed the lunch crowd was coming in. Families were being seated, by other waiters and waitresses. Orders were.being taken, and different tables were.getting their order. There was plenty of staff, because they were ALL crowded around the top of the stairs laughing and talking. We waited 35 minutes for our food!!!!!! I was just getting ready to ask where it was. When we received it, there was no explanation why we had to wait so long, compared to other tables getting their orders quickly. No apologies … We will never go there again, it was disappointing, unprofessional. Tip was not large, because of bad service. This is the very First time, I had to leave a bad review. How sad!!!
