We ordered take-out from Gourmet Wok the other night and it was respectable fare. Not the best, not the worst. In fact, they probably do make the best Chinese food in Branford (which isn’t saying much). That comment isn’t a knock on this restaurant, just frustrated with Branford’s lack of great Asian restaurant options! The restaurateur was super friendly and the portion sizes were quite large.

Person who answered the phone and gave us our food was just rude. Ordered a pint of plain lomein and charged $10. That is a ridiculous price and to be treated rudely, won’t be going back here that is for sure.

The food is good, but it’s pricey and for some reason every time I go in, the owner is very stand offish towards me. I see everyone else has had a pleasant experience, but I don’t receive the same treatment. I pay a lot of money for the food, in my opinion the least the owner can do is be friendly. The lady who works there is very nice though and makes me feel comfortable ordering food. I’ve only gone back because the food is delicious, but aside from that I don’t think I will visit again. Don’t need to feel like I’m constantly offending the owner when all I’m doing is trying to purchase food
