Don’t forget to go around back for the entrance!
What a fun ice cream shop, with a mad scientist/monster theme and lore behind its various flavor characters! The colors are really fun and I loved the monster waffle cones complete with gummy body parts!
I ended up going for the death by chocolate and hubby got the amaretto chocolate cherry, both delicious. Had to get mine in the black vanilla cone, which WILL turn your tongue black but is so perfect for spooky vibes!
Also picked up some Italian rainbow cake there that was delightfully delicious with actual almond paste!
For a sweet treat, be sure to stop by, they are open decently late on the weekends!

Our favorite local ice cream shop! Thank you so much for the incredible ice cream cake for our little guys birthday! He was so excited to see all his favorite characters on the cake! The ice cream was so fresh and delicious everyone agreed it was one of the best they ever had. Definitely check this hidden gem out for their incredible flavor variety ( my favorites are the gruesome graham, graveyard gravel and birthday cake) and would highly recommend ordering a cake for any event.

What a great place. While we were waiting for our dog to finish up at nearby Paws R Us grooming, we did a quick search for my favorite topic: ice cream.
It was a wonderful experience. Lots of free samples from one of the most varied and large assortment of flavors I’ve seen in a long time. It was really quite hard to choose.
Eventually I went with Rollin’ in the Dough (peanut butter and caramel) over Mixed Berry Cheesecake (an odd pairing, I’ll admit). It was very good, as were the many samples I tested.
Very good flavors and a great patio area that faces the Keyport waterfront. Baked goods are also available, as are some warm items like soup. I could have done with the ice cream being a bit dryer and denser, though, which is the only thing that prevents me from going with 5 stars.

My cousins and I had stumbled upon Gourmet Italian Delights while in the area after enjoying some food from Keyport Fishery. We were at the waterside parking lot and noticed the shop with the bright colors and signs and we decided to take a walk over. We were immediately welcomed by Olivia and her grandmother. They both made us feel so welcomed and literally felt like we were a part of their family. They explained how their gelato was made and let us sample as many flavors as we wanted. This place is not for the indecisive! Their gelato is creamy and flavorful. We all loved the texture and the chunks within the different flavors. I had decided on the coffee in a sea salt caramel flavored waffle cone. Yes they also have flavored waffle cones! The flavors of the cone and gelato complimented each other well. The coffee gelato had some chunks of coffee grinds that enhanced the flavor so well! My sister had gotten the birthday cake and loved the chunks of birthday cake. We all enjoyed the gelato the first time and recently had come back again. Olivia and her grandmother had remembered us and welcomed us back in with open arms. She told us about some new menu items and of course we wanted to try it! It was a hot chocolate with a scoop of ice cream. We were immediately sold on it and yes it was delicious! Of course we got some gelato as well!
We love the right knit family atmosphere at Gourmet Italian Delights. Every customer feels so welcomed upon coming in. The gelato is definitely the best I have found in the area! And this place is worth the drive from North Jersey. We will be back again!

I love this place. Family owned, friendly service, best ice cream I’ve had in a long time. Lots of different flavors to choose from and there are some really great ones I’ve never seen before. I had the Halo which had coconut ice cream, flan, rice crispies, lychee, coconut flakes and lots of other goodies I don’t see it on the menu anymore though which makes me sad.

I absolutely love this place. It has so much to offer – the selection if ice creams is absolutely crazy, it seems like they have a hundred of them and some I have never seen in my entire life, big part of which was dedicated to exploring the world of ice cream. I enjoy so much trying something new each time, last time it was coffee with Kaluha and chocolate chips and OMG it was so good. The ice cream is also I believe imported from Italy, it is different and so much better, something you really can not find anywhere else.
They are also very very clean, extremely patient and accommodating, they will let you taste the ice cream before hand and as much as you need. I noticed on multiple times extra attention to kids and elderly people which I think says a lot. For me, it comes from the fact it’s a family owned business, you see three generations working together and helping each other and you truly feel like you visit your family here. In these times of pandemic, it’s so important to visit family owned places, where your money go towards dance classes for one kid and college for another as opposite next big bonus for the next corporate CEO.
I highly recommend Gourmet Italian Delights to anyone. They have great ice cream, wonderful people work there and you will love it . There’s also a lot of other food – soups, sandwiches, empanadas even; everyone will find something to enjoy and come back.

Just stopped in to grab their soup and some ice cream.
I couldn’t decide on just one soup so I got 2, the vegetable & lobster bisque and they are both so good. The flavors are delicious, the amount & variety of vegetables in the veggie soup are perfect. The lobster bisque it was a great portion of soup & lobster.
Also, I’ve had there ice cream several times but always go back for my favorite Almond Joy.
Their staff is always welcoming and pleasant too every time.

Get a great view of the water with comfortable outdoor seating. The good stuff is inside. Wide variety of ice cream and fresh cakes. Why not mix and match? We had a great time visiting. Perfect way to end a day in keyport.
