Worst experience. My man was craving a burger so I looked on Uber Eats. This place had really interesting burgers and they offered a non meat version so I could eat there too. Ordered a Breakfast Burger for him, and a Spice burger sub plant based patty and large lemon pepper fries. Order went through around 8:45ish Friday night. At 9:15pm I see my driver is already there and Gourmet Burger house is “wrapping up” our order.
Fantastic! Looks like we are going to get our order earlier than expected. 10min pass and the driver is still waiting? Wow. Ok. Weird. Check again and now it is 930pm and there’s a new driver waiting. I check again and now there is another driver waiting! It’s 10pm now. I text the driver and ask her to go check the status because it’s been over an hour since ordering and she’s the 3rd driver sent. She texts me back within minutes and tells me that the place is closed already! But Their hours are 2am for friday!? And she also told me that the worker there also told her she was the 3rd driver picking up our order. I know restaurants can cancel orders on their end because it’s happened before. If you order too close to closing, etc. they cancel. But they accepted my order and didn’t cancel it. They wasted my time- and all three drivers’ times. If this was an oversight for some reason- after the second driver arrived, that probably should have been an indication that they did not cancel the order. Very unfortunate because we wanted to try them out. Will not order from here again.
