The food is outstanding, atmosphere is nice, real Japanese feel to it. The staff is incredibly kind, knowledgeable and it’s fun hearing them tell story of restaurant’s history. They helped us learn more about how to use chop sticks too. The drinks are wonderful .

The food was good and I ordered a Thai Spicy Fried rice with chicken. It was not that great and spicy. It was with pepper.

Decided to have a sushi night with my partner. We got sat by a young gentlemen and didn’t receive any service for 15 minutes. After explaining that to the young man that sat us, he was very nice and told a waitress that we needed service. Our waitress was a young woman and was very attentive and polite. The food was definitely not worth the price. We assumed because the prices were high that it would would be better than decent, but it was very disappointing. I wish it was more delicious :/ But I appreciate the two kind young workers who helped us out.

Have been here a couple of times, and the service is top-notch. Sushi is amazing, and rolls are large. You always leave you full.

Goung Zhou was okay. For starters, we got their crab bisque ($12). It came out lukewarm, but it was REALLY good. For entrees, my husband got the halibut ($36 on its own) and garlic mashed ($8 more). I got the yellow Indian curry with steamed rice ($24 I think). My husband really liked his halibut though it was a bit on the salty side. My curry was good too, but it was a bit salty for me as well. However, the steamed rice was not the sticky kind, so that was a bit of a let down. I also got a their thunder roll sushi and that was good. Service was slow and disorganized at first (they got my husband’s number wrong when they took his name down so we didn’t get a text for our table). Our server was nice and attentive although she didn’t introduce herself. Food presentation was good. Bathrooms could use a DEEP clean. Overall, an okay experience…we might give it another try sometime. For the price, I expected a better experience.

Goung Zhou is one of the few places that serves sushi in Longview, and I thought I would try it out. Bad decision. When I first walked in, it was nice and I was seated right away. I went there around 5:30pm on a Wednesday evening. I was led to my table by a server and I sat down. A moment later another server appeared and she took care of us. None of them told us their name though. We ordered our drinks and didn’t order an appetizer. They handed us this plate with bread and butter on it. It was really strange and the butter was sweet. I ordered sushi and it took 18 minutes for my food. There was 5 tables and 2 had food already, so I’m not sure why it took so long. It came out lukewarm and tasted as if it came from a freezer. I had the Sabrina roll and the special California roll. I enjoy sushi, but I couldn’t finish either one. The flavor was off and tasted like it was not fresh. I wouldn’t come here again. The prices are all over the place with all types of foods and drinks. They served one wine that was $1,500 a bottle!

My wife and I are first time patrons of GZ’s and we are looking forward to becoming repeat customers. Our food was top notch, the atmosphere felt really comfortable and our service was excellent. $42 total for the food that is pictured and worth every penny

I would rate more stars than just 5 stars if I could to do this place justice. The calamari is the absolute best I have ever had in my life. As many times as I have had calamari, even the best was not even close. I had a special of blackened Mauhi. Every bite of the meal was mouth wateringly savory. Creme brulee was the choice for dessert. Delicious! Every bite of this meal was an exquisite delight The only negative thing I can say is that unfortunately I could not try everything. Our server was amazing. He was knowledgeable and made fantastic suggestions. The food here can be a bit on the pricey side, but it is worth every bite. This is, hands down, the best restaurant in Longview.

Came for business lunch and sat in back room. Service was exceptional. Food pretty good. As it was a select menu didn’t get to try all I wanted.
